Can't rate these guys highly enough. Was a long hard 4 year road to settlement, purely due to a non responsive other party, but they got it over the line great tenacity. Amy unpinned the whole process and dealt with everything professionally and efficiently from the start and really understood what needed to be done in a fairly complicated case. Handing the reins to Joe nearing the end of the process and only a few months before the trial date, I was a bit worried, but the handover was seamless and Joe saw the case through til the end. Communication was great all the way through and he really understood all of the intricacies of my case without me having to explain everything to him. He had great suggestions and negotiated with the other parties lawyer well to bring the case to settlement without the need for a trial hearing. There were always options given and my thoughts listened to with no pressure. Joe was deeply aware of costs of litigation and the stress for all involved and successfully managed to avoid the need for a costly trial. I highly recommend both Amy and Joe and in the unfortunate event of need further legal matters attended to, then I will be returning to AFL Withnalls.

If I could give minus stars. I would.

It has taken over 9 months for a BASIC estate (three bank accounts at the same bank and no other assets, only two -equal- beneficiaries) to be finalised and it STILL HASNT been completed!

Other important notes to be aware of-

Despite a written request for privacy of my personal details, my privacy was BREACHED to the very party I requested not be informed of them!
Despite admitting her error, my concerns around this issue was then TOTALLY DISMISSED by Vanessa Farmer through her EXTREMELY LIMITED knowledge of the personal situation surrounding my initial concerns for my privacy!?

They sent me multiple incorrect legal documents for me to sign, some were read only documents with multiple errors, others were completely wrong forms. It took 5 seperate attempts by them to send me correct documents for me to sign.

When signing these legal documents and having them also signed by local JPs, the JPs themselves found their legal documents unnecessarily confusing and illogically drafted. These are JPs who read and sign legal documents every week!

WE HAVE PAID OVER $6K TO HAVE SUCH INCREDIBLY POOR LEGAL REPRESENTATION WITH THIS BASIC ESTATE and it should NEVER have taken 9 MONTHS to see any money disbursed AND WE HAVE HAD ZERO REDUCTION IN FEE COSTS DESPITE MULTIPLE ERRORS AND COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM DRAGGING IT ON UNNECESSARILY.

They've withheld funds to complete tax on the estate which was only commenced YESTERDAY despite having the information to complete this part of the estate in DECEMBER of 2022 and repeated requests by both beneficiaries to SETTLE THE ESTATE ASAP!

DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!!!

VANESSA FARMER IS THE WORST, UNRELIABLE, FLAWED LAWYER AND SHOULD NOT BE IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION!!!

I had three different lawyers in 6months not of my choice. I was over charged and had to challenge the account.. it’s bad enough to be in a position where you even need a lawyer without having to be worried about the service you are receiving… I definitely didn’t use this company to the end..

Receptionist was so rude. The lawyers might be OK, but I didn't get that far. I am no sensitive flower, but considering how much trust and money you are investing I expect considerably more sensitivity, kindness and professionalism. Went elsewhere and so glad I did.
