These guys run one of the best fishing charters in all of northern Australia. Well maintained boat, equipment and great customer service. Everything is included in your charter including food, soft drink and most importantly fishing gear and bait. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and provide a great day out fishing!

We wanted to do some fishing as this seems to be the main thing to do in Karumba (& the only thing) and we had heard Kerry D's was the company to go with so we booked. We thought the price of $190 each was very reasonable. The trip was at 12pm and went for 5hrs. I caught a Blue Salmon (dinner) and 2 x Shovel Nosed sharks (released back) and my husband caught a Shovel Nose Shark (released) and a Blue Salmon (dinner) . His issue was he finally caught a huge Blue Salmon but when reeling it in the deck hand took over trying to get the fish in the boat, but fiddled around chatting way to much and on the 3rd attempt the fish broke free. My husband asked why he didn't net it and he said the net was broken. My husband was not happy. It may not seem an issue to someone that fishes twice a day 7 days a week, but this was the first time for me and my husband on a fishing tour. All of us on board caught heaps and heaps and heaps of catfish which all of us at the end weren't happy with either. Afternoon tea is provided as well as cool drinks which was nice. The cool breeze all day was welcoming also. The crew were nice guys but we feel they weren't concerned about the haul of catfish we were hauling in and all of us felt a bit let down with the positioning of the boat. We understand just because you go out fishing doesn't mean you will catch a fish but we were just a bit disappointed like the others were. 5hrs of fishing and we caught 2 Blue Salmon and another lady caught 1 Grunter. The other 5 on board caught nothing. We also had read and were told off others that had done this tour last year that the fish were filleted and bagged for them. Our tour guys said they didn't do that so we had to borrow a guys knife and scaler to do ours ourselves as we had nothing with us to do this. Although we had fun most if us onboard after chatting when we got off were feeling disappointed.

I highly recommend Kerry D Fishing Charters. They cater to all levels of fishing experience. As a newbie to fishing in general, they made it quite easy for me and my son to catch fish of a lifetime. Great day out with the team at @Kerry D fishing charters today. Paul (skipper) and Shaun were fantastic. Thanks boys for an awesome day. We had 8 on the boat and we all caught between 6 to 12 fish each. From Blue Salmon to Shark,Stingray,Catfish and many more species.
Well worth a visit and if your up this way.

What a fantastic week spent with Ben and Jemma ... Ben's knowledge of the local waters put our group of 10 onto fish right from the getgo... Lunch, morning tea, afternoon tea, deck hands, top quality gear..Just don't have enough words to describe how happy we are about this Charter. We are already planning next year's trip...

I just have to share this story of Kerry D Fishing Charters. They have taken myself and our friends out to say good by to my husband. He passed recently and we where residents in Karumba for 14 years. We didn't even know Ben and Jemma but because we lived here for so long they took us out to the sand island to lay flowers on the water for Colin. The service they supplied was above and beyond. When we arrived they supplied flours for us to spread on the water and a spray of flowers for me I was just so over come. These are the new owner. That have only had the business for 3 years but they just amazing. So if you are looking for a charter in Karumba please book with them they are just amazing.

Catching within the first five minutes of dropping anchor and come away with a yum dinner…… and lunch for the next day. My family of four had a terrific half day up river enjoying the sights (crocs jellies and birds) and being out on the water. It was too easy. Cheers Kerry D family.

Had a great run with the guys, plenty of fish, some mad fun with huge tiger sharks, good laugh with crew and other fishers, highly recommended.
Only 1 tip, the snacks were a bit light on.
Would def go again, gotta love the gulf.
