We got a small bag of dirt and spent 3 hrs sifting through. To our surprise we found lots of little sapphires. We were helped by the staff and guided on what we had to look for. Scones for morning tea were delicious.

Gerry & l had a wonderful time here. We also purchased a $100 bucket & had heaps of fun finding the sapphires, there were heaps. The price also included a cuppa with scones, jam & cream. As it was a hot day the staff also offered us glasses of water & juice boxes. Sam & the staff were very attentive & helped us to understand what we were looking for. We found quite a number of stones that are able to be cut. Sam took time to sort them out & explained the various types you can find. Thank you Sam & staff.

Great place to experience finding gems. Great service, we got some nice stones as well with a cup of tea and awesome scones all for $30 for the two of us. They grade all your stones out into little bags and recommend uses for them. We had a few that if we wanted to have them cut were recommended to send to Thailand and the cutting price seemed reasonable

Got a $100 bucket which took about 2hrs to go through but we found heaps of sapphire and quite a few ones we can cut. The staff were amazing and helped us tune in our eyes. Scones were free and out of this world yummy. Definitely stop here.

My husband and I recently had the most fantastic experience during our first visit to Miners Cottage. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience. The hospitality was exceptional - the staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. We opted for the $100 bucket, and it was totally worth it for the incredible amount of sapphires we found. What's more, they even provided top-notch service for our dog who is traveling with us. Overall, a truly memorable visit that exceeded all expectations.

A lovely setting, with well-explained instructions on how to search for the treasures from your bag of wash. And then you're invited to sit down with tea and delicious scones to recharge. All your findings are carefully inspected for authenticity then weighed. We found a few nice sapphires, not big but special for us and definitely worth the effort. A wonderful experience and great value.

Wow! What a great place and experience!
Visited with both our young girls and the owners went out of their way to make our morning one to remember. Super friendly and helpful.. plus coffee and scones!!! Even had juices for the kids.
Highly recommend coming here and having a great fossicking experience.
Will be back!
