Why rave about Dan Murphy's. It's just a bottle shop, part of Australia's retail food & drink duopoly taking advantage of monopsonisic buying practices designed to squeeze the producer and diddle the customer. I used to buy from independent alcohol retailers, but the locational advantage of Coles, Woollies, Dan's hoodwinked me into opting for convenience. That's gonna change, even if it means two bus trips rather than one. Guess I'll still check specials on single malts!

Customer service above and beyond the call of duty!!!
I bought a nice bottle of Chardonnay for a birthday gift last Friday and then went to chemist and grocery shopping, it was pouring rain when I was unloading my purchases into the car and in the rush left the wine in the trolley. Rang Woolworths to see if anyone had handed it in but as expected not the case. I went back to Dan Murphy the next day to purchase another bottle and thought I would just ask if anyone had handed it in there (yes I'm an eternal optomist!) The staff member said ge would see what he could do and asked what wine I bought and what time and he verified my purchase and said I could go and select another bottle free of charge. Very much appreciated ?

I came here today 5/12 to pick up some wine for work and some gift bags. I was super stressed and had been looking everywhere for the exact gift bags needed and couldn’t find them. Paige went above and beyond for me and was so lovely and helpful. Thank you so much! You made shopping so much easier today and my boss was pleased to have the gift bags she wanted. You’re amazing, I even saw how you treated the elderly lady that came through. You were so lovely.

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered two cartons of beer to pick up. They only had two six packs. Unable to read a simple order. I will never use this incompetant mob again as it is not their first stuff up.

On their internet site it says that their products are in stock in a particular store such as Dan Murphy's at Marden and when I go in there they're not there there are out of stock this is illegal it's simply unlawful and fraudulent advertising.
The phone number listed for this store and any store is absolutely useless to say the least it serves no purpose whatsoever it only says for you to visit their website for any questions or to call back during business hours it states the business hours but I have called back multiple times during business hours and I can't get an operator he just hangs up on me so the phone number is absolutely useless rude unprofessional frustrating and time wasting it's not the way to treat a customer by any means at all I'd rather pay double the price for something then get treated like an absolute worthless piece of junk myself!!!
