Booked in-office appointment, chose "Jess" at $350- $450 (no asterisk attached see pic) for consultation, Got a confirmation call day before from another Lawyer who said the fee would be $500 - I asked why is that different from the advertised price? - She responded she would be the Lawyer sitting in with "Jess" because she is newly qualified...But then that is false advertising of the price - I also asked if it's possible to just have a quick chat (perhaps at no cost) to see if we would be suitable with "Jess" and vice versa - To which this other Lawyer said "what do you mean?" - I believe in order to have a successful working partnership, it's important to have a initial good first impression - Of which I clearly didn't - With the false advertising of price (which I did mention would not have been a problem if it was within the actual advertised price range) - Not to mention the Lawyer did not even grasp the basic concept of compatibility with the client. Mind you this whole process I never actually got to speak with "Jess" the Lawyer who I actually wanted to speak with! - But now they were insisting the price is not as advertised and there would be the 2 of them - My personal advice to "Jess" - Get out of this firm and go somewhere where you are not being misrepresented online...
