Please save your money and your stress and go with ANY other law firm. This Law office was so unprofessional and will charge you for things that you should not be charged for. The Lawyers at this firm do not care about you or your case, they make you do all the work and then charge you for it. I worked hundreds of hours on collecting documents, filling out forms and correcting my lawyers mistakes. I settled in court and I got completely ripped off, the other party walked away with way more than they were deserving of, because my lawyer didn't bother to put in a fight for me. I am now representing myself... the biggest mistake I ever made was going with this law firm. Please don't do the same.

Beware. Receive positive reviews about this firm with caution. It appears that Ms. McCarthy is now a television lawyer. She expends time giving media interviews and talking about hot button family law issues but the quality of her work on files can be appalling. Her failure to recognize a key risk in my case, early on, had devasting financial consequences to me. She was poorly prepared and regularly gave in, early and easily, to our opponent. She allocated work to juniors and failed to properly oversee her file. Important information fell through the cracks. Important steps were missed. I had to move on to a competent lawyer. I would never, ever recommend her.

I had a complicated case that was heading to a critical inflection point during a very difficult time in my life. When we hit a challenge, Martha's firm chose to fire me as client rather than carry the case through the final steps to completion.

Be aware that when the going gets tough, your outcome is not a priority to the firm, and they will treat your family as a transaction.

Martha McCarthy will devastate you with her legal fees and disappoint you tremendously with the quality of her work. Her abuse of your money is boundless. She has multiple members of her firm needlessly attend meetings, multiplying your costs by ghastly proportions. She and her staff members duplicate their own work, time and again, at great expense. She does not take charge of a file. She came to Court ill prepared and shouted a me when she was frustrated by her own ignorance and mistakes. She stated that we wouldn’t get anything accomplished in Court anyway and approached my case in a half hearted way. A terrible, expensive failure from which I am still recovering.
