I am a client of the old Joondalup Settlement and they pass my case to Carer Dickens Lawyers after they shut down. I experienced a water rate/bill discrepancy where the previous owners bill was then become my bill by mistake.
The reception lady at Carter Dickens kept giving me wrong information (see below) and had not really try to help for their customer.

1) She asked me to pay for the bill without investigation, which I figured out it’s for the period way before settlement with Water Corp, so it’s definitely the previous owner’s bill. 2) She also hadn’t been helpful on the phone or in raising this matter to the designated lawyer Jack and 3) even asked me if I have contacted the seller or their settlement agent myself ….. lawyers should not ask their clients to contact the opposite party themselves when they are already clients and paid and gone ahead with the service right?

I have this matter raised on 13th March 2024 to CDL and still have not resolved today 22 April 2024.
