What a mess I'm in due to a botched up agreement where I was given no direction and told the opposite to what I was told later. 2019 was the year of my settlement agreement and here I am with a new lawyer still trying to move forward in my life. Wording of the document provided me with no safety against a partner I had tried to tell them was not to be trusted and the fact that on the most important day I was appointed an associate lawyer who I'd never ever met or spoken with before. I strongly believe I was coerced into signing even though I was really hesitant to. I was assured I could withdraw my agreement later if I wanted to but recieved a different story when I tried to.
