The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in this organisation.

For some arcane reason (known only to CCLSWA) you're never (under any circumstances) allowed to speak with an actual solicitor. You're forced to try and summarise your legal dilemma to a clueless para-legal; who then relays the information to a solicitor; who then considers what advice to give you; who then relays that information back to the para-legal; and finally the para-legal calls you back with the information provided by the solicitor. Confused yet? I don't blame you.

This absurd & preposterous system described above is (by its very nature) designed to produce maximum inefficiency. It wastes everyone's time and effort.

Even for relatively simple legal advice, a person can't possibly know every single question they need to ask or every bit of legal advice that they need. This results in the matter being dragged out for weeks – because any further information sought or any follow-up legal advice that's required (or any clarification that's required) must go through the absurd & preposterous system described above. Rinse and repeat.

Finally, I'd like to emphasise how clueless the para-legals are. They're rude, clueless, and useless. They continually ask you the same questions over and over again.

For all the reasons above, I'd give this organisation 0 stars if I could.

I decided to ignore the bad reviews and I'm so pleased I did. Don't email them. Ring them and leave clear messages. You just have to be patient and persistent. Remember they are unpaid volunteers working for the Lawyers. Amazing service. Thank you.
