Town residential is one of the worst property management agents. They did not pay our rates or water even after granting them access. We were in debt of over $1500 without even knowing. We went through about 7 different agents across the 2 years of tenancy management we had with them and nothing was handed over to the new person. After many times asking for one person to be in charge of the property we were not listened to. If they ever picked up the phone.
We were constantly told they were following up on any issues we had, and would never hear back.

At the end of the tenancy the rent was in arrears and we also did not know this.

I went to an inspection with them to see our house, and pointed out damages that needed to be fixed by the tenant. Obviously this was not passed on to they as they were still there when vacated.
The house was left in a horrid condition, and they allowed a minimal amount from the bond to fix any issues.
They said they would get people to fix these problems. Never happened.

I understand everyone is busy and their rates were relatively low, but that showed in their lack of service. Could not trust the agency at all to ensure our first investment property was being looked after. Do not recommend them to anyone. Pay a little more and get better service somewhere else.

Avoid if you can. We purchased a property being sold by Town Residential and faced unnecessary hurdles along the way.

- Agent rarely picked up calls. I ended up having to leave messages at the office, and then the agent would text back, giving excuses about why he hasn’t replied to my voicemails
- Did not follow through on what was discussed on calls, had to follow up just to get the sales contract sent through (then blamed the email system for malfunctioning when they had the email address wrong)
- Special conditions were added to the contract for minor repairs to be fixed before settlement. They were not. Got sick of following up with the agent and instead paid contractors to fix it ourselves

I have purchased and sold property in the past and this was by far my most negative experience with any agent and company.

Fabulous. Made easy! Kostya sold my house at auction. He was very clear about the process and the market.

He worked with me through the listing process and gave me time to sort my house out (after 20 years) before sale. There was no pressure.
