Huge shout out to a lady named Sammy.not the first time I have corresponded with this lovely lady and had nothing but professionalism but sincere understanding of several issues and have had nothing less than an understanding and assuring result to the issues that I have had. I had an issue due to damage to my vehicle as a result of a poor road repair by a civil construction company. After 7 months of no reimbursement or traction, I was considering legal action, in the end a lawyer recommended CJC's mediation service in the first instance. As a result of the mediation, I now have a $2,500 settlement payout. The CJC provided an exception experience for both parties and myself in particular. The mediators were amazing and the service from my Case Co-ordinator (Kathryn) was world class, as she was extremely professional and took time to keep me updated with progress, every step of the way. Thank you CJC for your excellent service to the community.

I would not recommend the CJC for mediation. I found them to be a total waste of time and tax payer money. They are more interested in protecting bullies than getting justice for abused individuals in the community.

We approached the Community Justice Centre seeking mediation over an issue with neighbours. I was called back on three different occasions, where a different person asked the same questions because the last person to call me had not entered the information properly. About a month later, I spent well over an hour on the phone with a mediator who asked loads of contextual questions in preparation for mediation. Then, a few days later, we got a letter in the mail informing us that our issue was not suitable for mediation with no explanation. I emailed to request an explanation and was told there policy was not to provide any information about the decision due to the need to protect confidentiality. This puts us in an even more difficult position because mediation is a necessary step before the NSW Tribunal will hear a case, and we cannot even explain why it will not happen through Community Justice. This whole process was a tremendous waste of my time, not to mention the public money funding it.

We were referred by Council to approach them for mediation on a dispute with neighbour on cutting our trees before taking any further legal action. They don't have access to the neighbour's details, and they even got the street name wrong and just sent out the letters. That was a complete waste of time and government's money to keep this office.

We had 2 professional mediators helping with our case, which I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say their names. But anyway thanks CJC, for making people able to talk and listen. That would definitely clear things out.

Weeks and weeks after lodging a self report form, we still have NOT been contacted by anyone. This site and its processes are a "slap in the face" for Justice and an example of how public servants hide behind faceless computer sites......Shame,Shame, Shame!
