This might be one of the worst schools in the world. Horrible teachers, counsellors students and policies. The uniform policy that this new principle has addressed is tragic. Getting people who follow a religion in a certain way and getting them to have to wear a certain colour of a hijab is outrageous, the way the school shows themselves as a ‘picture perfect’ school is completely out grown and the fact that they are so intrigued about ‘making change’ is also just disgusting as they never do anything about the problems that students bring to there cohort. I don’t wish this school on anyone. Do anyone a favour and let them know that Canterbury girls high school shows nothing about what they say.

I would give this school zero stars if I could. The students here display a complete lack of respect for others. Many of the girls seem to thrive on creating drama and trouble. I personally witnessed several instances of students from this school harassing Canterbury Boys students, which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, a group of girls directed rude comments toward me, calling me a 'Karen' and making disrespectful gestures toward the boys' school while recording the situation. These behaviors are just a few examples of the toxic environment at this school .
Because of ongoing bullying, racial comments, and other serious issues like vaping in the toilets (which some girls even encourage), I made the decision to pull my daughter out of this school. If you want your child to be surrounded by negative influences and toxic peer pressure, then this may be the place for you. But for any parent concerned about their child's well-being and respect for others, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere."

Pretty good school toilets could be better but they have a fun band program and mostly amazing staff.

I have heard that there are multiple thefts in the school with wallets and money. I am not going to send my child to a school that does not do anything about these thefts. What kind of principle doesn't do anything about this? I strongly recommend install a better security system.

Dear Ms. Lewington, I am concerned about some issues I’ve heard in your teaching. It seems that students whose first language is not English are being unfairly blamed for their struggles in your class. It is important for educators to be aware of the diverse backgrounds of their students and to provide support tailored to their needs. I encourage you to consider how your approach might be affecting students and to seek additional resources or training on cultural competence and inclusive teaching practices.

Let me just start off by saying that I have not been here long, but I already know that this school doesn't deserve the "Picture Perfect" status it tries to uphold (I do feel bad for saying this, the principal does try her best to help with issues, but it so far has not worked).

Students have no respect for any property, they will steal, they will vandalise, they will stick gum under tables because they're "Not bothered" to throw it out. The bathrooms condition is actually disgusting because of these students. I understand they may be going through some sort of "Teenager phase", but that does not excuse them abusing property and being egotistical and having some sort of "God complex" thinking they can do whatever they want, whenever.

A lot of students are either racist, Ableist, homophobic, or biased, sometimes it's even a mix of a few of those, or even all. It's disgusting to see how students will either relentlessly bully someone for being autistic or just somewhere along the neurodivergent criteria, or completely infantilise them.

I have a friend (Who I will just call "U"), U is autistic and has ADHD, and a lot of my other classmates could see it. (This took place last year but still has not gotten any better). Instead of minding their own business, these classmates decided to pretend to befriend U and then after they had gotten U's trust enough, immediately dropped them and used any info they found out to bully them relentlessly. This year I see those same classmates do the same with ANOTHER neurodivergent person, but no-one has yet to care or even warn this person, besides me and two other friends.

The teacher's aren't any better. Some are extremely toxic, refuse to listen to kids when they need to voice their opinions and needs, all because we're "Younger" and "Don't know what we're talking about". They often indulge in insane power abuse.

Teachers, Specifically one of the deputy principals is unwilling to hear any child's side of a story or genuine issues, and will only give their opinion and refuses to listen, instead of listening they just repeat the same point over and over. They will also refuse anyone's issues and won't allow them to even try getting an accommodation for their genuine issues. (Ex. Not allowing them to wear headphones TEMPORARILY to prevent sensory overload, won't allow them to leave the room for a few minutes when they do and will instead coerce them back into class).

That same deputy principal is also too soft on people and doesn't know how to deal with genuine issues. This has made me quite irate, because I was getting made fun of and laughed at, I told them and nothing was resolved, they did it more because they knew I had told them, and nothing ever get's resolved when it goes through this DP.

Teachers refuse to understand when someone is telling them they have an issue or exemption (For example, I need headphones to drown out sound as I am autistic and I have sensory overload very easily), and instead of allowing me to wear them, I was told that I need to respect my other classmates, the teacher and myself and that I would "Be fine without them for the rest of the class", this teacher has also yelled at me for needing to return a laptop. And when I tried to explain that, they talked over me and refused to hear me out.
