I have had no issues with the new owners or staff at Gungahlin PO. It has been a very busy period for new owners to takeover and learn the ropes, especially through the Christmas and New year period. The long wait on some days was also becoming an issue with the previous owners especially in the lead up to Christmas. I have been a customer since the opening of the post office. Gungahlin is growing at a very fast pace and the demand for postal services is significant (especially passports) which has been massive post COVID. As a long term customer, I have learnt that Mondays can be pretty busy as can get Saturdays. I do think an external parcel pick up window attached to the post office in BUSY periods would be a great addition if there is a suitable location for it. This would enable customers who just want to pick up a parcel to avoid entering the post office.

I visited the Gungahlin post office today to retrieve my lost Samsung phone return receipt. KALPESH did an exceptional job addressing my issue and providing excellent customer service. His customer service and problem-solving skills are truly appreciated. I appreciate Australia Post for employing such dedicated staff.

I frequent here often and it depends on their staff if they are friendly or horribly rude. The south asia(fyi i am south asian myself) looking man, may be in his 50s is absolute disgrace and speaks in such a way that it is not OKAY. I do not understand why Auspost being large employer puts any effort on training their staff or lets say let go of them. We as a customer do not deserve to face them in these sort of services were we often have no other option than using it.

Honestly, the reviews that are high 5's seem to be A.I generated... they're nothing short of rude and unprofessional, I've been there 2 times and I'm always seemly made out to be the scum of the earth or incomprehensible to them, I speak perfect English.. go figure .. after all I was born here, but to the foreign staffing there it's a effort/drag to explain things, today I simply requested if I could have my tracking number possibly found? To them I sounded as if I was asking for them to decipher ancient Egyptian texts and I was out of this world, I was still patient and positive and sending out that vibe but it was not reciprocated .. seems like this is the a common problem appearing here in Gungahlin...

I was charged to $3 or 2 stamps for a birthday card.
I was told it was a little big so he needs to give me 2 stamps.
I was not expecting $1.50 per stamps.
Not happy.
A birthday card and to send it away cost me $3
It's ridiculous.
Even Christmas cards.
Should be the one cost regardless of what size.
Letter boxes are bigger now a days so I do feel ripped off in the cost in getting charged double.

No wonder there are less people wanting to send Christmas cards/birthday cards away when you charging so much to send away cards.
Again I was charged $1.50 per stamp.
Only because it was a little bigger that it cost me $3 for a birthday card.

Very Angry over this.
Told people about this and they were god smacked at the cost.

Always has huge queues of minimum 20 mins.

Had so many issues with one staff member in particular, he made a number of errors and lied to my face. I ended up spending 2 hours trying to sort out his mess and not even an apology or acknowledgement when I escalated this to the area manager.

Went to have passports done. The lady doing them was short, rude and unprofessional. Granted she was the only person on at the time to do them, there was no indication passport renewal timings were different from the post office open times, nor was it necessary to behave the way she did.
