I have never seen a worst council in my entire life... roads in Byron in the worse condition than ever before and of course you gotta pay anywhere you are going to park in Byron... basically everywhere!!!
Go to the beach it’s free right? Well as long as you pay your parking ticket 🤬🏖💸
Taking advantage because it’s a tourist place as always, with the excuses and blaming the backpackers, as long as they also pay, it’s all fine🤣🤮

A nice place to visit that is unfortunately spoiled by grubby councils charging an arm and a leg to park anywhere in Byron. I’m from Sydney and even the inner city isn’t that bad.

In 2015 you claimed the money from parking meters would fix roads well clearly not , your footpaths are terrible and your parking meters are a huge rip off, $2 for 30 minutes, pity you cant spend time at the beach its too expensive to park. Bring back the Byron of old , greed spoils everything.

Byron Bay and the surrounding shire are some of the most magical places on Earth, and the councils and local governments and citizens have outdone themselves in protecting the ecosystems and alternative, partnership values (in the face of multi-billion $$ corporate entities).

All those people who wrote negative reviews: GOOD, stay away.

We neither want nor need you here-- you obviously fail to understand what Shire-folk are building.

Don't make Merry and Pippin come and SCOUR you from our beautiful Shire <3

after the first big flood in february a council meeting was scheduled, to which i booked in as a speaker. i was told it would be a zoom meeting, & i would receive a passcode by email to attend. the passcode was never sent, & afterwards i heard that there had actually been folk sitting in the council chamber that had allegedly been flooded. this was only the last straw in a long, disappointing, never helpfully responding relationship with my local council. i expect nothing good or kind from it anymore.

Just want to report the road into the leagues club and caravan parking area is atrocious . When will this road get the attention it deserves? As a visitor to your town sending money in local businesses this road is not good enough. Please fix asap.
