How and where does one Begin?
Firstly I am So very satisfied with the high level of professionalism delivered on my behalf.

I do however wish to address the other reviews with this one review of the reviews. They can only help those whom are able to help themselves. 80-90% of the work must be brought to Stevenson and McNamara. Get all your ducks in a row and present your material / case in as neatly packaged format as possible. Help them so they can help you. If you are unable to do this effectively by yourself. Please get someone or a group of people to help you to get it to Stevenson and McNamara effectively.

For myself, there was an immense amount of high stakes on the line. I was extremely unsatisfied with my previous solicitor (which in hindsight I was 100% correct about this person) and with very good reason I trusted my instinct and actually fired my previous legal team and personally went down and physically retrieved all material from a huge, very well known prominent legal Firm in the local area to then personally deliver it to the wonderful Dynamic Duo, Solicitor Lisa McNamara (25+ years experience) and Barrister Darin Honchin (25+ years experience).

Understanding that they have a lot of plates spinning at one time. I made sure I did all the work I could to make it as easy for them as possible.

Which is my advice for all future and even current clients reading this. YOU HAVE TO DO THE WORK for Stevenson McNamara to be able to attempt to slam dunk it for you. You have got to assist them to assist you. Get as much rich material for your Legal Defence team for them to choose from. Get as much help and support as you can whilst they are doing what they can. My Legal Hero’s, They saved me. I am forever thankful. They Both have such a great energy. Help them help you.

Whomever may be reading this. I truly wish you are successful in your defence. If you want it enough and do all you can to help your legal team. If you are obsessed with success. Anything is truly possible.

I've had the worse dealings with Stevenson and mcnamara lawyers, Joel. I've been trying to call since the start of the year with absolutely no reply what so ever. When we went to court, he wrote only 2 short pages, the judge was even concerned on why he didn't do much work. I spent 4 hours in his office also for him to do those 2 pages only. I will definitely be getting a new laywer and I really really hope no one goes through these people and experiences what I have.

Legal Aid appointed Stevenson & McNamara Lawyers to represent my brother Tim from the firm was given the case. Tim conducted himself in a very unprofessional manner he would not return calls, it took him 5 weeks to give authorization to have the firms number added to my brothers call list so he could speak with Tim from prison despite numerous emails from both the prison and legal aid requesting he do so. Tim did not reply to either party or return my calls regarding the call list in total Tim was contacted / messages left for him over a dozen times from 3 different sources. Tim gave incorrect advice regarding my legal right to be given access to the brief he was clueless. Tim represented my brother in a bail application which was thrown out because Tim had not prepared the application sufficiently the judge would not even look at the application. In the end Stevenson & McNamara handed the case back to Legal Aid at the last possible moment before my brothers court date without informing him or myself as I have power of attorney over my brother. I sent a letter and spoke to Lisa McNamara the principal solicitor informing her of the way Tim had conducted himself however Lisa seemed unconcerned and nothing eventuated from it. If you are looking for a solicitor that will return your calls and represent you in a professional manner Tim from Stevenson & McNamara is not the solicitor for you. Very very poor service I would avoid this firm at all costs if they are appointed to you by Legal Aid.

Extremely unprofessional, do not answer calls or call back after leaving messages, does not show up to appointments. Delays legal aid requests to transfer to different solicitors.
