I would not recommend Anthony Bowlen as a lawyer, and by extension would not recommend this firm to any friends or family. Tony was engaged to settle an estate for my family. However, throughout the dealing Tony has been extremely difficult to get in contact with, and has made several monetary errors. He made errors in distribution of funds (which he acknowledged in a letter) but has not correct this error for over a month. Throughout this month Tony has ignored all emails and calls from me. All emails have also included the administration team as recipients, yet I continue to be kept in the dark on this matter. This is extremely disappointing.

Mr Dunstan is a very good lawyer, He was prompt in taking on my case and also reassured me a good outcome was possible and indeed that occurred rather promptly. I found in particular, he was an excellent communicator and very well spoken during our contacts. I highly recommend this firm for your family law matters. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was referred to this place by Legal Aid Victoria. I was enquiring for legal services in the area on Family Violence. The person on the phones did not seem to understand what I was asking for.

It seems like a very simple question. Was put on hold multiple times, obviously to check with someone that did know.

Then was told that they do not deal with 'Family Violence Law' when clearly Legal AID lists them as they do.

As a courtesy I notified the front of desk operator to this fact, she proceeded to have a go at me that "Legal AID doesn't always have things right"....

I responded by saying "I'm just letting you know, so that maybe you can update your profile, and not waste my time, your time and anyone else's" Before I finished, the phone was slammed in my ear.

If this is how they handle FREE referrals, I wouldn't trust them with a single $1 or billable hour.

UPDATE:
I was not seeking FREE legal support.

I was enquiring about a Legal AID grant. You get paid for that.

Don't lie, I was not aggressive.
You guys obviously feel threatened when someone points out something that you guys should update on the Legal AID directory as you get referrals from it.

The phone was slammed on me.

I will consent to sharing the audio recording, so we can all be the judge of that phone call.

I'm not sorry I sent a one star, if I could have given you zero stars I would.

James Bult is a lazy inefficient ICL, he cut corners where ever he is able, most likely due to his ridiculous case load. With my children he had less than 10 minutes talking with each of them and told them he only had time for asking 3 important questions, And a age 14 & 16 decided to use one of his questions asking their favourite colour. He then exaggerated his involvement with my children to the court trying to make out like he knew them, he could even pronounce one of their names and had no idea who was the oldest. He had clearly cut and pasted a collection point from the other parties documents as he had no explanation as to why he was choosing the collection location. He had incorrectly thought it was the other parties home. His focus was on just getting orders done so he can get onto his next case with zero actual care of what is in the childs best interest. ICL is just viewed as a cash cow for this firm! What a rort. This firm is making a living just showing up to court usually online doing heaps of nodding and very little else. If you are self representing he will try to push you to sign whatever the other party wants because that lawyer has already done the paperwork and it saves them one less job. There was nothing professional about this service.
