I cannot stress enough how disappointing this firm’s service was. If you’re looking for responsive and professional legal representation, I highly recommend avoiding David Luscombe & Associates.

I engaged their services in September 2024, paying a $1,000 deposit for a financial agreement. Unfortunately, communication was poor from the start. Despite my repeated attempts to get updates, weeks went by without any meaningful progress. And worse without any communication. Phone call after phone call was meant with inadequate rresponses and or no return calls.

Elise, the solicitor handling my case, was apparently unavailable due to illness for 3 weeks after deposit paid, and the firm failed to communicate this or provide alternative support in a timely manner. Three weeks went buy with repeated phone calls to essntially silence. After then asking for a refund, I was reassured by Meaghan that my case would be handled promptly, but even after my instructions to proceed, further delays and broken promises ensued. The draft agreement, which I was told would arrive promptly, only came late and was followed by more weeks of unresponsiveness.

The delays forced me to seek legal assistance elsewhere, as my trust in the firm had completely eroded. Despite this, the firm has refused to refund any part of the deposit, despite the obvious lack of timely or satisfactory service.

It seems they are driven by money unfortuately. I do hope David responds publically here. If you are seeking service head elsewhere

I totally agree with the previous review from Ross. I'm sorry, but they're service is sadly money driven. There seems to be only one agenda from this firm, take as many jobs on as possible, and make as much money as they can, whilst completely disregarding they're clients well being or mental state. Communication skills are absolutely terrible, and to bully they're clients, which they are making money off?, is such poor business ethics. I was made to feel like a liar and very disrespected, and felt no support from her at all during the entire process, that it actually contributed to my mental health to decline further. They were so quick to take the money, but yet, so slow to deliver any services. I have now changed firms, and I cannot believe the difference of how I've been treated. My new solicitor is even wowed by the disregard and disrespect of this company's employees. So yeah, me personally, I'd stay away from this firm, unless you like to burn your πŸ’ΈπŸ”₯. Sorry guys, but this is a really bad experience, and never again πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

David Luscombe and his 'young' associate staff are not the persons or firm for you, if you are experiencing serious anxiety and well being issues, and have your back to the wall in your personal circumstances.

Not listeners. Not even capable of recording an accurate summary of your circumstances and the guidance sought at their reception point when you ring in in distress. Or is at problem at the 'solicitors end' when they overlay their costs template .... and they don't understand, or see you as a good fit?

It's not a good sign for one to be struggling to be heard and understood, when you receive a call back from young Megan, and then when you ring back anticipating a better response from the elderly boss 'David Luscombe' he's in his own cone of silence and denial.

Mention to him that you're in a vulnerable state, with mental health issues, regularly asked by your treating GP if you're having suicidal thoughts and that you're first and foremost wanting your circumstances heard and understood, by someone you're approaching for some legal support and representation ... and David will run a mile, shut down himself - and shut you down.

Disingenuous, care factor 'zero', probably the worst yet.

Receptionist Debbie raises expectations that Megan knows her stuff and is good, when she books in a call back for 3 working days time. She says David's been around for a long-time and is very good. Lol, I was hoping so, but Debbies criteria and expectations of her colleague and employer is obviously alot different than what I desperately needed.

They appear to be 'Cherry pickers' looking for the low hanging fruit - so if you present at the front-end of a family law matter, where they can see and smell the opportunity for them to reap the cream and milk (get on board the gravy train) I'm sure they'll treat you differently ... with welcoming opening arms!

Beware.

At least they showed the cut of their jib from the outset, and that they weren't interested in even getting to know what was going on for me, or had the slightest inclination to go out of their way to see how they could support or help.

One of the harder things in life it seems - to find a good lawyer.

Don't waste your time trying here. Nothing to see, move on. Nothing to inspire confidence, move on. Everything to suggest a process driven cash register is just ka'chinging away here, move on.

Very very ordinary experience, and typically unaccountable privileged people.

David missed 2 scheduled appointments in one week. One of them scheduled 1.5 hrs before the meeting. I tried to give the business to a local, don't bother.

You could not ask for better, nicer solicitor than Dave Luscombe. He fought so hard to keep the hospital open on Philip island and I am sad it was a failed venture, but, I think, after watching this on the news for a number of years, that the honorable Dave, should run for office. I would move to the Isle just so I could vote for him! Dave Luscombe, one of very few good guys! Mxox
