My two boys and myself have been patients to the Huonville Ochre medical centre for some time now. They've always made a effort to find us an appropriate appointment to see a medical practitioner within a reasonable timespan according to the urgency.
The communication and service at the front desk cannot be faulted. With correspondence if the doctor is running behind for whatever reason or sick with every effort to reschedule.
My most recent visits addressing paperwork to transition my sons medical needs in the right direction as he enters into the adult world.

Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. The GP Dr Oxford is honestly the only person who has kept me alive in the last couple of years. He is genuinely there to help the patients and listens. Open honest communication. I couldn’t appreciate or praise his encouragement to give another fortnight a go and his advice any higher. Oh and thank goodness the reception area finally after 14+yrs has a new beautiful painting to look at. It was looking so run down and filthy, the chairs all need washing with dribbles all down the back of some and so grotty. There’s absolutely nothing for children to be entertained by except their parents phones (loud!) or running around. If COVID means no toys, why not buy some posters covered in different animals and frame them so the glass can be cleaned but it would at least let parents discuss the animals with the kids and be something to look at. Or a corner with big colourful pillows to lay on and a SILENT small cartoon on a tablet attached to the wall. Just something so that sick kids, parents and other unwell patients don’t have bored kids to deal with. Thank you. Oh the Tasmanian Map shop has some incredible animal posters. The local artwork of the mountain behind Huonville is way better than a cement picnic table and listening to other patients they all love it. Believe me sometimes you can sit for hours quietly listening, but personally I never mind because I know someone clearly needs more support today and when I do they give me the time needed.
