The review is long, so the short version - Jacob Bozdas and his team at Baulkham Hills Conveyancing (Norwest Law Group) are fantastic. If you need conveyancing or property law services I would recommend them to anyone who asks. Jacob is a professional lawyer and also a great bloke. Please read on though because he really did the best by us that anyone could.

I was recommended Jacob from a work colleague. I was selling my home and purchasing but it had to be simultaneously, and any hiccups would have meant we would have been stuck either with no finance or no home. Our dream was to become debt free.

He promptly reviewed a number of contracts which helped guide us when choosing the best property for us. At the same time, our home was on the market and we were consistently serviced by Jacob, to the highest standard with any questions or queries we had. He was thorough and professional and when it really mattered he went above any reasonable expectations to make sure we were on track.

After we accepted a buyers offer, Jacob was bombarded with ridiculous and lengthy queries on our property including ludicrous and uninformed demands. We had buyers from hell. He liaised with us and responded promptly and professionally, quelling all of these issues. He ensured we retained all of our critical contractual protections.

Jacob greatly assisted in lining up both properties for simultaneous settlement, including special contractual clauses to enable us to shift settlement in case of any hiccups, and provided us with consistent and prompt updates when necessary.

As sellers, in good faith, we performed a number of gratuities to the buyers such as additional inclusions and aesthetic touch ups that we had no obligation to do. This was thousands of dollars worth and many days of hard work, because we thought it was the right thing to do. It wasn’t;

When it came time for settlement, mere hours before it was scheduled, the buyers again submitted ridiculous demands, with no acknowledgment of the gratuity we gave to them throughout the process, even threatened delaying settlement knowing how much this would effect us - essentially attempting to blackmail us to fulfil a selfish financial demand. Jacob knocked this right on the head and simultaneous settlement pushed forward on the day as planned.

With Jacob’s unrelenting efforts, we achieved our dream 🙂 now that we are debt free, we can start a family and get to know our 4 legged neighbours!! (We moved next to a farm). Many times Jacob told us he’s just doing his job, but his professionalism and wonderful personality are rare and his team will help you get where you need to be within their role as your legal representative.
