We spent two weeks following up a Property Manager as we were trying to secure a lease for a property. Each time we called, we were advised the Property Manager was "out of office" or on leave, or in a meeting. We were strung along for a long time not knowing if we were going to get the lease, leaving over 5 follow up calls and an email for a call back - every single request was ignored. Eventually we found out that the property was suddenly leased. When we became frustrated, reception advised that the manager's strategy of keeping us hanging to see if they received a better or longer offer was just "part of the game" to get the best outcome for the tenant.
