Over the past few years of attending this practice, I have seen a few different doctors and all of them have been fantastic. Very professional and courteous.
The office / admin staff are honestly a lovely bunch . Very friendly and helpful. The whole place is clean as one would expect at a medical centre and very modern. A huge plus to have a chemist right next door.
Also a big plus to have access to other services like pathology, physiotherapy , ultrasound and lots of other services.
My health needs have been addressed promptly and thoroughly at all times. Thank you for a fantastic service.

I’d like to spare a minute and say massive Thank You to Dr. Robert Cooke who saw me today on my first visit at the clinic . Speaking now as a foreigner who lived all over the world struggling with a lot of health problems wich always been a little pain in the a*… I hated going to doctors and always felt utterly uncomfortable but today?
NEVER have I ever encountered such a warm hearted , professional & extremely kind doctor who made me sooo comfortable and understood. I am just speechless on what a difference his approach to me as a patient made ! What a gem of a human being! Seriously impressed at the level of care, including the lovely lady who took my blood .. This was the most welcoming GP I have ever been to . Thank you - I wish other doctors took you guys as an example of “how it should be done ❤️

Dr Safra Mohinudeen is the most caring Doctor I have been to in Queensland.
Happy to help with tricky medical conditions and investigate health options for your condition/situations. I am confident I now have an island Doctor who will look after me.

I had the wonderful experience of meeting a relatively new GP at MI Medical Centre today, Dr Safra Mohinudeen.
My appointment was deemed as a necessity by one of our wonderful paramedics on the island and so although the clinic was fully booked I was very grateful to be given an unexpected appointment.
Dr Safra made me feel instantly comfortable, showing compassion, honesty, knowledge and professionalism in dealing with my medical needs and considering I hadn’t pre-booked I was not rushed in the least. I felt extremely confident in her recommended health plan for me. Highly recommend and so hope she continues to practice on our island.
In appreciation

I made an appointment for a general consult as a new patient through their website which said my appointment would be bulk billed.

The next day, their office called to say the appointment would not be bulk billed. They said the consult would cost $77 and that I would get "about half" back from medicare. If this doctor doesn't want to bulk bill, at the very least, they should be able to ACCURATELY quote the rebate amount.

No other profession in Australia can get away with quoting prices with qualifiers like "about". Kind of, sort of, quoting your prices, but not really quoting your prices, is just not acceptable.

These people were often the smartest kids in school, so it's not like they lack the intelligence or math skills to accurately quote a price. They consciously choose not to. And they do that to people when they are sick and vulnerable.
