This is the first review I have written but I feel like it's important to do so as I sought out these services solely based on the previous reviews ON this site.

Whether Lisa has recently taken on too much conveyancing work and is not able to keep up with demand, I don't know, but the service I have received for my recent home purchase has not been what was advertised.

I would not recommend this service to anyone who works full time and/or does not have an understanding of the home buying process already.

From the beginning of my interactions with Lisa and Kilmore Conveyancing, I have not seen things move forward unless I have phoned to remind her of next steps that need to happen. This began from the moment the vendor's agent called me to let me know that there had been no contact from my conveyancer regarding the signing of the initial contract, despite his cc-ing her in initial correspondence so she was kept abreast of all documentation.

It continued when my broker advised me that he had heard nothing with regards to an amended asking price. The bank portal then received nothing when it came time for the land transfer documents.

When I verbally offered her feedback on these things, instead of being proactive or apologising, she told me that if either of these professionals needed something, they could contact her themselves. She was only going to deal directly with the bank.

The only positive thing Lisa was able to advise me on was to write in the contract that all appliances must be in good working order. Even that was only offered during a phone call I instigated where I asked if I had missed anything.

When buying a home, there are multiple people involved who all have to be on the ball. This is made very difficult when your conveyancer has no contact with any of them, and no apparent drive to start anything rolling on their own.

I have dealt with many conveyancers in the past, however when I engaged Lisa, Veronica and the girls to convey both my properties, the support and processes was second to none.

They are extremely skilled in proposing optional solutions and I was consistently updated in a thorough and timely manner. KPT certainly exceeded my expectations and will be using them on my future transfers.

Great work girls
Regards John

I have dealt with Sue Aisbett for years and with Lisa Bounds almost as long. Congratulations On your retirement Sue and for long time employee Lisa for taking over the business
Your local knowledge and connections will no doubt see this very established local business continue to provide excellent service.

As the purchaser I don’t believe I received a single phone call, and maybe a handful of emails when documentation was required. I had to have my representative, whom had full permission to speak on my behalf, continuously chase up and ask for answers as to where the process was at.

When I did have the time to make a call I found my file had been passed onto someone new who knew nothing about where the process was at or legalities and no answers could be given.

Land Transfer Paperwork was not lodged in a timely manner and due to this we could have lost our loan and missed our settlement date.

There was no communication from Kilmore conveyancing to our broker, where communication is vital and there should be team work to make the process as smooth as possible for the client. When this was pointed out to the team at Kilmore Conveyancing their answer was less than stellar in that “if the broker wants to know something he can ring them because it’s not their job to ring him”

Dear Kilmore Conveyancing, communication is a two way street, there are many parties involved in this process, sometimes, you may have to reach out to other people in the team and let them know what steps you are up to so they can complete their next step. If you don’t have the time to make a 30 second phone call, then perhaps you need more staff or less clients.

There is no excuse good enough for lack of communication and catty replies are certainly not helpful.

Bit of a "dad and dave" backward organisation. I used them for both the purchase and sale of properties and found it amazing in this day and age that they chose to send EVERYTHING via mail, then charged ME for postage! Um, have you heard of emailing? I had to chase them up often to find out what was going on and heard nothing from them regarding settlement day on either property (again, I had to chase this up,) When calling as I'd heard nothing about sale settlement on my property, the girl I spoke to (there's only 2 of them in the office) had no idea what I was talking about (this was ON SETTLEMENT DAY!), then said "oh yes, we are acting for both parties, that's why we hadn't looked it up". I then received (yet another) letter AFTER SETTLEMENT DAY, telling me my settlement was arranged for 11PM (mmm, have you heard of proof reading or do you just work REALLY late?) and that the estate agent should then release deposit monies to me. Problem was, THEY had arranged a section 27 to release deposit monies to me months prior! Really amateurish company that needs to move into this century.

UPDATE: GIVEN IT TOOK THE OWNERS OF THE BUSINESS 4 YEARS!! TO NOTICE THIS REVIEW PROVES MY POINT!
