Catharine and Thomas are a great, kind and knowledgeable team who helped me find the best resolution possible to resolve an issue I was having with a MacBook keyboard that had suddenly stopped working.

When I first had the issue, I originally considered and looked into a few other local vendors around the area which wouldn’t have been able to fit my case in during the time I had to resolve the issue. After being recommended to come here by a friend who had had a similar issue sorted out here previously, I reached out and was able to get the process started quickly and had the issue diagnosed and confirmed soon after.

I was extremely impressed by the extra time Thomas took outside of diagnosing the issue to discuss and advise me of potential resolutions to the problem whilst also addressing the possibility that that if I was to replace the top cover/battery, and still encounter the same problem afterwards, that the issue was possibly more sinister and relating to the logic board and could be more difficult and costly to resolve.

After collecting the device and report and discussing the best advised resolution in great detail with Thomas, I felt well equipped with all the information and context I needed to get in contact with apple support and start working towards a solution to the issue I was having.

I was thankfully able to initiate a repair as I was able to explain and justify the fact that my keyboard had failed within an unreasonable and unexpected amount of time, without cause or damage, and was granted an extended warranty and in the end after all repairs were complete at the closest Apple authorized provider, was covered for all necessary repairs which was later confirmed to also include the logic board (as initial top cover repairs only ended up resolving the issue for three days) .

I would not have been able to reach this conclusion where I now feel that the issue is now fully resolved if it wasn’t for the help and accurate guidance I received from the team here.

If I hadn’t received the advice and help when I did, then I would likely either still be without my laptop which I rely heavily on to study, or potentially would have ended up spending as much as I did on the MacBook when I first bought it from the shop on repairs replacing essentially the entire bottom half of the computer. Thankfully I was able to avoid either of these outcomes.

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation I highly recommend reaching out as these are incredibly helpful, honest people who will be able to find the best resolution for you.
