Incredibly disappointing experience. Blackheath acted as the conveyancer for the vendor of the home we bought. The property was originally scheduled to settle in early June. We'd organised deliveries and removalists to bring our things over. The first we knew that the settlement date was cancelled was when we turned up for the settlement inspection; because Blackheath conveyancing did not even communicate to the Agent or us that they weren't ready. We were sat around most of that day hoping for answers.

This was the beginning of a pattern which ended up with not one but FOUR subsequent settlement deadlines being missed.

Our conveyancer regularly tried to make contact but reported that her calls and emails were not acknowledged. We tried calling, texting and emailing on settlement dates and were ignored too.

Our experience is that Blackheath conveyancing don't seem to know or care how important it is to communicate what is happening, because buying and moving needs a lot of organisation and is stressful. They market a fixed cost service; but what use is that when all the other costs blow out from missing settlement dates over and over and without even the courtesy of advanced notice.

Buying our home was one of the most significant things we've been involved in. I wouldn't trust Blackheath conveyancing to be involved in buying or selling a home. I wouldn't trust them to organise a backyard garage sale.
