The university has a strong sense of community and values diversity, making it easy to connect with people from all walks of life. As an international student, I was looking for more than just academics... I wanted to feel safe, accepted, and inspired. That’s exactly what I found here. The staff are approachable, the student community is vibrant, and there’s always someone ready to help.

I would not recommend their Master's in Counselling as long as Catherine Creamer is the program coordinator. She is a politician, not an educator. All other teaching members are wonderful and approachable. But it only takes one politician to dim the entire program because they hold power, and no one holds them accountable.

This is a dictatorship. They hide behind the facade of tolerance and inclusivity but then treat the students like lower class. I was locked out of my uni account for months and because of it received failing grades. Every day I was on the phone begging someone to help me resolve the issue and I got met with referrals to the wrong department and complete incompetence. Then when I voiced my upset over this situation I got told I was rude and unprofessional for simply voicing my concern with how I was treated. No one would help me and when I lodged a formal complaint I got told it wouldn’t go further. The reason for this is because one of the people who my complaint was about was actually the one who reviewed my complaint. This is a bias and unprofessional university who don’t know how to do their jobs and when someone calls them out on this they hide behind their deflecting responsibility and narcissism. If you have problems they will not help you and gaslight you into thinking you’re disrespectful and crazy. Awful place that has affected my mental health deeply. edit: they have called me a month after I posted this and said I now have a misconduct allegation because of this post and want to meet me in person to discuss it, further proving my point they try to silence you and run this place like a dictatorship.

Honestly, I regret coming to UniSC more than any decision I’ve ever made. I’ve worked incredibly hard to earn my degree with good marks, now I’m nearly done, I’m being falsely accused of using AI to complete an assignment. I don’t even have an AI subscription, and I wouldn’t have any idea how to make AI write me an assignment. I have proof I’ve written the assignment and the Integrity Compliance Unit aren’t interested. Honestly, don’t ruin your life and waste $40,000 - Pick any other uni.

Despite my student I.D card being active, I requested an appointment to speak with a student wellbeing consultant for reinstatement as a uni student. What do I get? A cancellation notice without any explanation and a list of suicidal support Hotlines (e.g. Lifeline). I applied to study a different online course (Bachelor of Arts) via QTAC; only to find my application has been withdrawn at no fault of my own. I can still access certain areas of the student portal, but not Canvas etc. I thought this uni was different from all the others, but now I find they are all the same and they couldn't care less for anything else except their precious profits while everybody else suffers under the one roof. Whoever runs this organisation is beyond a BLOODY joke, The staff (and some students) are completely WOKE and is bound to go All-Out Broke. Not worth the paper it's written on.

We presently live close to USC and walk through it regularly to play PokƩmon GO. We visited the university during its Solar Nights event. It was a good experience. The University did a good job. USC is a great place to visit not just for students. It has plenty of nice walkways and wildlife. It is a very nice peaceful walk in the evening.

Been studying here for a little bit. Things are incredibly strict, as in there is no care for your personal life at all. Tutors aren't fantastic either for EDU courses. There is little to no social life on campus if you don't meet people in the first week. And the worst thing is, online webinars! When you pay $$$$$$ to go to a uni, going to a lecture and getting as much information as you can is important, to replace that with online webinars that are long and don't help at all is wrong!! It should be optional to do online or to do lectures. Uni also falsely accuses people of ai usage I have heard around aswell. There is little to no support that is easy to access and things are not explained at all when you start as a first year. If you fail a course, you just have to do it again! Its a nice uni campus but overall not enjoying it at all so far. SO WOKE TOO!! The intro week had a religion tent, LGBT tent and an Aboriginal tent? Like? How is that helping to majority of the population. I love inclusivity but what the ? No easy access to sports if you aren't in a sports degree either. I'm so sick of stupid welcome to countries aswell.

Great place to study either in groups or alone. Lots of space and computers. Sometimes it gets a bit too noisy, but besides that all good.
