The reception staff at Googong Veterinary Clinic were absolutely lovely — warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their work. The clinic itself is clean and well presented, which gave a good first impression.

Unfortunately, our experience with the vet was disappointing. I found his manner quite abrasive and lacking in people skills. My dog, a large rescue German Shepherd, was understandably anxious, but the way the vet approached and stood over him to administer a vaccination felt unnecessarily domineering. My dog reacted by barking and retreating toward me — a response we’ve never seen at any other clinic, before or since.

I was surprised and disheartened when the vet immediately labelled him as aggressive and remarked, “that’s the trouble with rescues.” It felt dismissive and unfair. The consultation was also significantly more expensive than what we’ve paid elsewhere.

While the facilities are good and the front desk team were excellent, I won’t be returning. The longer drive to our previous vet is well worth it for a more respectful and understanding approach. In hindsight, I should have trusted my instincts when the vet declined to shake my hand upon introduction.

What more can I say about the team here than professional. We travel approximately 30 mins to bring our dogs out here.

We love the fact that you get to see the same Vet (unless Mark is on leave) each and every time you visit. The ladies who run the clinic are absolute gems. Always with a smile on their faces and when on the phone you can certainly tell they have a smile happening.

Whilst there may be some Vets with a different pricing structure, I have found that the fees for the quality of service that we get there far exceeds whatever the difference is in scheduled fees.

If you have a dog with special needs - our Tonka - sometimes the team might wait to see them to make sure that they’re alright.

Glad we found Mark and the team at Googong Vets, won’t be changing our vets for the foreseeable future.

Mark and his team lack integrity.Mark refused to provide medical records for a dog of mine that was presented attacked by another dog by another family member. Although the dog was registered to me as the owner. Even when confronted with the fact that I advised him G.W.I.C the governing body of greyhound racing would be involved if he refused to disclose this information, he still denied providing any information in relation to the treatment.
The invoice for the treatment was sent to my email address and then Mark shamelessly tried to down play the dogs injuries sustained in the attack,regardless of the fact that he profited from the treatment of the greyhound at the cost of just over $530.
I strongly recommend avoiding this practice as it clearly lacks integrity and honesty when dealing with individuals in the community.

Super friendly staff that are great with my 3 greyhounds. They do great work from patching the puppers up whenever they've done themselves a mischief to simply doing a nail trim. Highly recommended

Very friendly staff who always put extra effort into caring for my three fur babies. The vets are skilled and knowledgeable and don't over charge in my opinion. If I need, I can usually get an appointment the same day.

The Vets seem nice and caring to our pets but they charge like wounded bulls. Cost me nearly a grand to have 3 dogs immunised!!!!!! They spent maybe 10 minutes with each dog!
