I was initially referred to Verhoeven and Curtain by a family member over 20 years ago and I have used the services of Verhoeven and Curtain and VC Moe Conveyancing many times - for buying and selling of family homes and for the administration of our parents Wills. More recently that of our father’s Will. I am near 75 years old now and have used V & C since we bought our 1st house when I was in my 20's. Since then they have helped me wind up both my parents and wife's Estates and been the Conveyancer for our selling and purchasing of different properties since then. I have found their pricings have been in line with their initial estimates and they have given me great service so I keep using them as required. Maybe that also has to do with their capable and stable workforce.

Extremely Disappointing - Avoid if Possible
I had a truly terrible experience with Michael Curtain, Solicitor & Notary Public. It took a staggering three weeks to receive a response to my initial inquiry, with no prior warning of such a lengthy delay from their reception staff.
Initially, I was quoted a price of no more than $250 for a simple notarisation. Upon finally receiving a response, I was then told the fee would be $385 – a massive and, in my opinion, unjustified increase.
I found the service to be incredibly slow, the communication poor, and the pricing completely unreasonable. I ultimately had my document notarised by another, far more competent service provider for only $160.
I strongly advise looking elsewhere for your notary needs. This experience was frustrating, and a complete waste of my time.
