I was referred onto Scott Goodwin 3 year ago and my ex refused to engage with him.

Roll the clock forward 3 years because it was her Legal Aid Solicitors idea, Scott was suddenly ok to use.

Following three years and over $100,000 in court fees and wasted years of my life, in one day Scott was able to settle the property dispute and make some headway with access to my children as my Ex is breaching federal court orders in relation to contact.

I could not recommend Scott and his abilities more highly. Fair, just, impartial and resolution driven.

Absolutely flog of a company take minimum 4-5 days to get a reply on basic information. Only deal in call backs and emails seem to take 3 days for a confirmation, complete waste of time.

I was of the belief that mediators were supposed to be impartial, however have since learned that while I was in the other room (I opted for face shuttle due to my ex partner being verbally abusive towards me), the mediator was telling the other party that they were wasting their time trying to negotiate with me and told them to leave part way through mediation, when I had paid for a full session. I walked away from mediation with one view, and my ex walked away with another view which then caused massive issues between us. Mediation is supposed to help with communication, but after this experience with Goodwin, my ex and I both walked away with incorrect information as to where the other party was at. I completely understand that this can happen as a result of face shuttle, however, it appears that in this case, the mediator didn’t have the skills required to handle the situation and effectively made the situation between myself and my ex partner a lot worse.

Doesn't seem to actually care or have the skills required for actual conflict resolution. Still haven't received any report from the last session and they don't respond. Don't go here especially if your ex shows any narcissism traits.

Made the process very difficult did not give us a legally binding document as we were promised kept throwing in his two cents worth. Would not recommend to anyone
