My partner has been trying to get InTouch with Susan I'm assuming the owner for over 6 months, 3 of those months while pregnant, about a neighboring property fence. She's tried to contact via email, calls, texts and has flat out been ignored and avoided like the plague. I have no idea how this place is even still operating. When someone is trying to do the right thing, about a property Bernats Lewis Real Estate manage, how can they just ignore someone like that, because its obviously not a priority to them... If this continues i will have no choice but to seek legal advice regarding the matter, As my partner has a DVO in place and wants the fence sorted so she can feel safe with her 3 month old new born baby.

My advice to anyone wanting to rent through this real estate is DONT. They do not follow rules at all, one of there favourite things to do is take water fees out of rent, then they say you are behind in rent. When you move out of one of there houses, they refuse to give references. We are in the middle of doing a major complaint to consumer affairs about this real estate. We have a lot of evidence against them.

Susan has incredibly poor communication as a property manager. Despite countless times of us reaching out to address an issue, she manages to ignore emails and phone calls.

She also swore at my partner on the phone during a conversation about our bond.

Please save yourself the headache of dealing with this woman.

I feel this review is well past due. After eight years with Bernats-Lewis I wanted to express how outstanding their team has been with looking after my property in Eagleby.

It's not always been an easy road with various issues - a granny flat built under their watchful care, palm trees needing to be removed from the front property due to a rat invasion problem, various other maintenance issues and most recently, a massive mould invasion of the granny which required an extensive insurance claim.

Thanks to the advice of Bernats, I was with the right insurer who covered all the costs of the repairs and all the lost rent during that process.

Beth Telfer of Bernats went above and beyond liaising with the insurance adjuster to bring my property back to a livable standard and within days of it being habitable again, she had found me another tenant to move in. Beth is an amazing property manager worth her weight in gold. I've told her she is never allow to retire. LOL

Susanne Bernats-Lewis, the owner, is also wonderful with deal with and will always make time to chat with her clients. She runs a transparent operation where honesty, integrity and reliability are key and her staff all model this philosophy.

I've always felt I am in safe hands with Bernats-Lewis and if you are looking for a property manager in the City of Logan, they are the one to choose. You really couldn't do better.
