As a non-resident, my partner needed specialist tax advice when she decided to sell her house in Australia. Ann Stratikopolous, a partner at BDO (Nth Qld) - Cairns, provided her with highly professional advice from before the sale to completion of the process, including preparing my partner's tax return and furnishing the Tax Office with supporting documents when the ATO conducted an audit. The ATO raised no queries and advised that no changes to the return were required - in fact, my partner receive a refund! She was delighted.
As well as being very professional at all times, Ann is personable and always made time to return calls promptly. In our opinion, BDO's fees were reasonable and worth every dollar.

Ann at BDO has been fantastic. We came to BDO from a very bad accountant who cost us tens of thousands in tax. BDO was able to clean up their mess, saving us money and organizing everything so we could manage the books ourselves.

During COVID19 BDO has updated us with every move. They have told us what is available for us and implemented it for us. We were able to claim many of the Grant's available to businesses in QLD.

They even alerted us to a $10,000 grant we applied for and received. Just with the updated alerts and advice alone BDO has saved and even helped us get thousands in support. Any query we have is responded to day of and in detail.

I was given the wrong information from BDO, which cost me my client and they then charged a fortune, before ghosting me at tax time. Not professional or knowledgeable.
