I'm surprised at how good the reviews are for this company, the experience I had was pitiful.

I had a debtor that I have spent time and money chasing since July 2024. Active debt got half of the money from the debtor, gave up on the other half. Resulting in the client receiving hundreds of dollars worth of free/unpaid work from my company. If I had known that all active debt were going to do was send a couple of emails I would've saved myself the time and just done it myself/go with another company.

They also refuse to collect any late payment fees, which seems to work more in favour of the debtor rather than the company facing a loss.

From what I can see all active debt do is send a couple of emails to the debtor and then of course when the debtor does not want to pay (which we already knew, hence forwarding the debt to a debt collection company) them ask the company suffering a financial loss for more money to put them on a credit default register, just resulting in more money down the drain.

Was so disappointed as the other reviews for the company show they are usually very successful, maybe the service I received was different due to a personal reason?

Active Debt will probably comment on this review and say hello Jess we don't have anyone under this name that has engaged with the company blah blah, because I do not want it publicly known that people are able to book services from my company and then get away incredibly lightly without paying. That's incredibly embarrassing.

To say the least I was incredibly surprised to find out how easy it is to get away without paying an invoice or debt.

If you choose to engage with this company hopefully your experience is a little bit better than mine, but I will be going elsewhere and advise others to do the same.
