RVAHJ offers exceptional services for those in need. As exemplified in one review, 'Excellent service. I needed an affidavit signed urgently but with a young baby getting out of the house to find a JP was going to be difficult. I found RVAHJ's remote witnessing, secured an online appointment for the same day and had all my paperwork completed quickly and efficiently. Ian and Sandra were very friendly and walked me through the whole process.'

Extremely helpful service with the online system that has been set up for witnessed signing of documents. My video call which was outside of work hours lasted just on half and hour and was a straightforward process providing you have a scanner, and technology for video calling. Thank you so much for putting this in place during COVID-19 restrictions.

The online signatory service is very convenient and helps to service all Victorians. Being currently housebound, this service has made the process of witnessing documents hassle-free. Thank you for providing this service, I can only hope it continues to be an acceptable form of witnessing document signatures going forward.

I would just like to say how surprised at the excellent service I received from Paul. He rang me back within minutes of leaving my info and asking for his services urgently. He gave up his Saturday when I was in a time of need to get a Stat Dec. Thanks once again Paul and a great service that in my opinion is greatly needed in our communities.

Thank you so much for offering the remote witnessing service - it was a really simple and convenient experience! This is such a valuable service, I really hope to see it continue into the future. It would be so helpful for people who cannot make it into a physical location. Let's hope that this is something permanent and positive to come out of 2020!

This is a fantastic service. I had a document remote witnessed due to covid regulations making in-person impossible. It was easy and fantastic.

I do work with remote communities and hope this kind of remote witnessing service persists post covid, it would be great help to a lot of people I know.

If I could give this organisation double these 5 stars, I would. I seriously cannot speak highly enough of the service, professionalism and ability to get the document sworn correctly, and in compliance with the Act and the Court’s Rules, [and patiently!] This is a really highly specialised area, and Paul was exceptional.

I urgently needed a huge affidavit sworn – with 475 pages of exhibits – during the COVID lock down. I did a search on the night before my document must have been filed in the Supreme Court, and found the RVAHJ. Within 15 minutes of sending my email, Roger, a JP had called me back. When I explained my situation, he advised that he probably could not assist due to the size of the document, geographical restrictions and the urgency of my swearing, but that he would try to locate someone who could help.

Within 30 minutes of that call, I was contacted by Paul Mracek, JP. Paul was flat out himself, but found a spot to fit me in the following morning. It was a tricky swearing because of the size of the document and the Rules, but Paul could not have been more knowledgeable and helpful.

On the morning that I was to swear the affidavit, after I’d had an IT disaster overnight, I contacted Paul to ask if there was any possibility that I could move my appointment time to later in the afternoon. This is a person that I do not know; who has his own life, commitments and family; and who is not charging anything for the service, and it is a skilled service being provided. I was embarrassed to put him to bother but he rescheduled his appointments to fit in my changeable requirements. He made a spot for me in the afternoon, at his own time.

I was in a panic, trying to use Zoom and share documents etc. This guy did not break a sweat! I’d have lost my patience with me, I’m sure. He calmly directed the proceedings and showed me how to use Zoom to share and swear the affidavit. He was thorough, and particular with the document, and formalities, which are essential for filing in the Supreme Court. I am so incredibly thankful for this service, and for Paul’s assistance and time today. He gave well over an hour of his own time at no cost, and saved my neck. That’s rare today for any service but for providing a specialised skill, which meant the difference between me missing a court date and not, it was extraordinary. It’s all the more extraordinary because I am a lawyer and I still could not manage to organise a colleague or family member or friend to provide the service that Paul and the RVAHJ provided, in such an accommodating, authoritative and helpful manner. Next time, I’m not even bothering with the colleagues/friends/family members. Sorry, Paul, but you’ve made a rod for your back with the professionalism and assistance today. I’m coming back next time I have a personal legal matter that requires assistance with swearing correctly, first go. Thank you, Paul and the RVAHJ, you really did a fine job.
