Greg enters the court room with a smile and infectious energy. Upon going through the metal detectors, he complimented the officer and made an amicable joke, getting the welcoming energy going. He sat down in the court room, chatted with another individual, waived me over and said “permission to whisper in your ear?” After a grin and a nod, he whispers “I got it dismissed, won’t even be on your record.”— this was with a brand new appointed district judge as well, so its not like he had much experience with them to lean on. All this to say, Greg makes you feel like he’s got it under control. Not to mention, he showed up with his partner Dennis who double checked with me that I understood what Greg explained to me / his plan of action AND held my phone and book while I joined Greg in the court room. Very accommodating.

I interviewed 2 other lawyers. 1, while sharp, tried harping on my fears to sell me for a higher fee, the other had a similar fee, but seemed more genuine. However, Greg Smith’s firm offered such a reasonable fee compared to others, and showed up without making you question, “should I have gone with someone else?”

This was for a traffic case. 15-20 minutes, in and out.

Greg Smith is the person to call if you have an untruthful advertising case! I called him on a Sunday afternoon and he picked up immediately. He was warm and welcoming from the get go, and invited me to share my case with him. I met with Greg Smith yesterday regarding a protective order. With only five days left before my hearing, I was worried I might be too late for him to take on my case or that we’d need to request a continuance. I called Mr. Smith's office based on his online profile and dealing with him was a delight. He handled an inquiry from me and it took him under 5 minutes to explain to me the futility of my cause. He could easily have charged me, or signed me up as a client, but I had the sense that he was telling me, “Don’t waste your money,” on this particular cause, a Department of Motor Vehicle issue for which I was prepared to pay. He grasped my issue right away and my sense is that he was conveying, “Save my services for another day.” What was remarkable that he took the call, personally, and without an appointment. Then, he gave me a crash-course in how not to throw good money after bad.
