I paid the retainer and decided to seek another firm. It became clear that Joanne wasn't understanding the basics of my case or the legalities around it. If your case has any ambiguity, this isn't the place for you. I added one star because Joanne is a very nice person and I took a chance on her over a larger firm because of how personable she was, but I wish I hadn't wasted money on the retainer.

I have found John & Joanne to be very professional & proficient. They actually care about their clients & go above & beyond what I would expect from paralegals. Their pricing is very fair. It's too bad more ppl don't understand the scope of what paralegals in Ontario can do, & knew how much money they could save by using paralegal services instead of lawyers all the time... Hands down recommend John & Joanne & their team any time!!!

I paid Joanne a substantial retainer to handle a case for me. She took my payment, never spent time on the case, realised she was not capable and failed to show up in court as she was committed and obligated to do so. The court was in disbelief. She then sent me a letter saying she could not deal with it and obsconded with my money. If she had no intentions to to take my case she should have returned the money and provided me enough time to find someone else to represent me. The courts could not believe this was done especially when she is teaching and representing Trios College. I don't think that this is what Trios are teach their students. It's all about money not service and integrity. I'm sure The Law Society of Upper Canada would disagree with her actions.
She was unprofessional, unreliable, dishonest and needs to be accountable to her profession. I do not recommend her service.

I would give them 6 stars. Joanne took my case which was handled professionally by her team. These guys do their office/homework adequately and, you can tell when someone studied the case inside out! Very happy with a quality end product. Thank you!!

I reached out to John for assistants, and he was amazing!
He replied and got back to me promptly. He was personable and understanding and explained everything to me in laments terms.
I would highly recommend John and the team at the legal option.
I will be utilizing them again in the future!
