Super difficult to work with. Chasing for months for a lease renewal and kept being fobbed off. Then, 4 days after I moved in, we were told the owners were selling, so I then had to move again. Inconvenient and expensive. Not a fan of paying for a deep clean of a property I’ve lived in 5 weeks.

The move was harder than it needed to be. More poor communication, told several times to replace broken lights that were hard wired in.

To top it all off, there was an uneven split of how our deposit had been paid between the housemates. One of us, who happens to be aboriginal, hadn’t contributed to the deposit. Above and Beyond had the deposit, it was just something we’d arranged between the housemates. Kate, despite having the full deposit paid from her point of view, decided to tell our move-out cleaner about it. The cleaner then had a moan to one of the other housemates about how “aboriginals never pay”. We can only imagine the conversation that Kate had with the cleaner about our housemate, and how the fact he is aboriginal came up. However, at the very least, a real estate agent should not be discussing the finances of the tenants with third parties

I’ve had my property managed by Kate and her team for the last 5 years and can’t imagine going with another agency now, they truly do go Above and Beyond. Kate is a genuine, professional agent who makes everything so easy and stress free for us. I’m so glad I signed her as our property agent because we trust that she will look after our investment for us and we never have any worries. Before we had signed our property with above and beyond we had some horrific experiences with other agencies prior which had caused nothing but stress. Kate and her team are very knowledgeable. As landlords, we found their expertise especially invaluable during the ever changing rental landscape of the pandemic. We were very confident that we were always compliant with any new rules or laws. They are proactive in keeping us informed of any relevant changes that may affect us or our tenants. They were also very helpful in navigating other processes like the Home Improvement Scheme, making sure works took place with as little disruption as possible to our tenants.
