Absolutely disgusting service. We have bought and sold many properties, multiple of these transactions were carried out through Affinity Lawyers. We ran into some serious issues with our last conveyancing deal of which some serious and potentially massive mistakes were made.

Rather than try to resolve issues or give us options to deal with these issues as you would expect from a law firm, we got referred onto a solicitor named Angus who from the first point of contact attempted to terminate our engagement with affinity lawyers due to us being of the belief that the firm had not done right by us.

We continued to reiterate our understanding of the communication we had received from Angus to our real estate agent whilst cc’ing in Angus. Following this, we received an email from Angus stating that we were damaging his name and our behaviour was disturbing and that he was terminating our engagement. This displayed to me true grit when dealing with a lawyer who is supposed to be able to have difficult conversations…

From our dealings with Affinity, if you’re looking for solicitors who are solutions based and willing to work instead of terminating engagement when difficult conversations need to be had and dealt with it would be my opinion to look elsewhere.

Based on our dealings with Affinity, I assume that the response to this review will be one where by Affinity admits no liability, we as clients are incorrect and our behaviour and recount of our experience is wildly inaccurate and unsubstantiated. Do with that what you will when making your decision to choose a conveyancer.
