After reading some of the reviews on here and hearing recent rumours about deliberate hold ups in building and development applications by certain staff in administration one has to wonder what the objective of this council and its administration is in relation to the development of this local government area.
We are in a time of housing and land shortages and there are rumours afoot that within council administration there is a deliberate effort to further stall applications. If there is any truth to this, can I suggest the Councillors need to take a long hard look at their personal and their role in local government. Rumours of this nature should not be circulating in any form as it goes directly to the bonafides of our local government at all levels.

Dishonest people with no integrity.
A simple development application to build a retaining wall, as per their information, takes 16 weeks to assess. Putting aside this ridiculous assessment timeframe, we went to the application tracker and easily found two similar applications to build a retaining wall in our area, while such applications took only 6 weeks to assess and they are approved already. Also, the structural integrity of our standing house depends on this retaining wall and the foundation might be impacted if soil moves due to rain. Nobody cares.

Seriously what is wrong with the Albury Council. Why would you not have EV chargers (in Albury) and entice travelers to leave the Hwy to stop, have a break and spend money in town. I live in a town with a little over 300 people and we have 2 chargers in town. I come back to visit Albury quite often and have to plan my trip just to go to the supermarket. Get your act together Albury you are embarrassing. The new BP servo will be nice in 2 years when its completed and again 10 min out of town.... Madness.

Very attentive Council overall. V. Experienced Senior Staff and Councillors. The Art Gallery MAMA Library Museum always have something professionally done. They cater for all ages kids youth in their Cafe and elderly with quiet rooms with computers.
They could ensure more space for valuables in disabled toilet like a table as nowhere dry often. They also need to remember to ensure featured display books aren't too adult and upset children who are walking by and very sensitive with long memories. This is respect for children and parents primary right to educate as otherwise it's unintended abuse. We all teach and listen and do says BBC and Vatican EC II too.
Nearby is an Arts entertainment centre and proper city square.

They have streets where commercial businesses are operating or trying to operate and customers want to enter the businesses. We are paying commercial rates, yet they have parking outside our bussinesss closed of for weeks and there is no work being done. NOTHING NO WORK JUST CLOSED OFF! Just another Albury City Council doing what they want, not caring about local businesses once again. Like charging full rates during Covid when we were banned from operating.
