I had a bad experience at this practice during my daughter's 12-month immunisation appointment. While these vaccinations are supposed to be free for all children in Australia, the practice charged me $340 for the routine (free) vaccines, $160 for the meningitis vaccine and another $175 for the consultation.
Their justification was that we don't have Medicare, but I had never been charged for routine vaccinations at other practices in Sydney, despite being in the same situation.

When I raised concerns, they dismissed my complaint, saying I should claim a refund from my private insurance. I contacted NSW Health, who confirmed that routine vaccinations for children should not be charged and were appalled at the situation. NSW Health intervened, contacting the practice and instructing them to issue a refund. Despite this, the practice delayed the refund for two weeks and only processed it reluctantly after follow-up from NSW Health.

I wouldn’t recommend this practice.

Update! We are leaving thjs horrible service and be warned the charge is $38 per person to leave them! They profit from your misery no wonder the service is poor. The absolute worse GP clinic we have ever experience. They never arranged my hospital referral, one time our GP didn’t show up, the reception are unprofessional. They challenged my review here and I gave them the benefit of the doubt so I took my review down but we went again today for our babies flu shot based on their recommended dates and they turned us away. We are cancelling all future appointments and moving to a new Gp. This clinic should be avoided at all costs!!!!

Fantastic GP clinic. I always felt that my health matters were taken seriously and I was listened to. Appointments were always punctual and reception are friendly and eager to help. Dr Kathryn Barron had excellent bedside manner and was able to refer me to good specialists to help me get a diagnosis of some complex issues.

Now that I’ve moved away from the area I really miss the level of care I received here.

Such a fantastic GP. I’ve seen several doctors here and all have been brilliant. I started seeing Dr Laura more regularly a few years ago and she’s so thorough, attentive and kind. The receptionists are lovely and welcoming, and the pathologists are great. I have a history of medical anxiety/phobias and everyone here puts me at ease. Highly recommend!

I don't usually leave business a review but I can't rave about and thank Annadale GP enough! For whatever reasons I been going to the practice a lot for various issues and I think I must have spoken to every doctor who works there, and all of them are so professional, friendly and they truly care. I have never experienced a GP where the doctors will go above and beyond to check up on me, make sure to follow up and that I am getting the best treatment possible.

I would highly recommend this practice and hand on heart every staff and doctor there is amazing.

It can get very busy here, but any time I have gone in my main doctor Amy, or anyone else that I’ve dealt with (including individuals there on placement) they have all taken a genuine want to listen and help me (which hasn’t always been the case with finding a doctor, especially as a woman with chronic pain). Even when it looks stressful they never rush me and want to make sure I get everything I need and more. They’re always happy to help and suggest thing that to help even in the future. I have twice suddenly needed help and both times they have set the right expectations for me but still went above and beyond including being put on a walk in list or even to help out with something critical I’ve needed. It’s nice to know I’ve found a convenient place and also a good doctor and practice. Thank you!

I was searching for a GP for a little while before I found Annandale GP; they are an excellent practice of GPs who are all eager to spend the time needed to deliver proper care and diligence. Dr McDonald is an awesome doctor; she doesn't always run on time, but this is because she takes the time needed to answer any questions and manage any issues. Very appreciative and absolutely recommend.

Dr McDonald is extremely unprofessional and an inadequate doctor. If you want to waste hours of your day just to have a doctor Google things in front of you then tell you she doesnt understand she's the doctor for you. I have had numerous problems seeing her but the major one being her inability to understand medical terminology, asking her clients or simply telling them she doesn't understand. If you wish to actually be helped by a doctor with knowledge about medicine then do not attend this practice. I was also prescribed a steroid that put me in hospital and could of potentially killed me by Dr McDonald with her knowledge of my low blood pressure to which the hospital was astounded. After being admitted to hospital the practice refused communication with me regarding my hospital admission for over a week leaving me to waste more money seeing a specialist. They refuse to call clients to check in and only care about the money your paying them. My health has declined rapidly since attending Dr McDonald and I have lost trust in medical professionals due to this experience so thank you.
