Be careful their opening hours aren't accurate. They close from 11.15 to 12.45pm.
Other than that it's a nice and clean post office with gifts and appliances for sale.

Tried to call them several times, they will answer the phone and drop the call. SO RUDE!

You’re better off using carrier pigeons. The staff here could not care less about your postage. I have never seen anyone move as slow as old mate in the parcel window, I’d be surprised if he had a heartbeat.

Appalling customer service - there’s one or two helpful younger staff but the two older (managers?) are so unbelievably cold and rude and get upset and give you attitude just for collecting a parcel. The women is mean and and older gentleman is rude and frightening. The office also doesn’t stick to its business hours. They are simply closed some weekdays and the staff just shrug when asked why. This is a regional post office that is so important to so many Territorians, it’s an essential service, pick up your game and do your job.

Multipe times you get send off to come back another day, as they can't find thr parcel straight away. As i take my Time to drive to the post office, i expect the workers to take their time to serve. I understand that it can be tough especially being short staffed. Still it should be possible to collect a parcel at first try.

Went here to get passport photos taken of my 5 year old. Took what felt like an hour, cranky 5 year old in the end, and left with a blurry, too high lighting contrast photo that was eventually rejected by the Passport office. They need to update their camera or software because the system kept saying the image is too blurry, but the staff member told us that it should work fine. Apparently, they've had "other applications with these types of photos accepted." Well, not this time. Very frustrating as we had already paid an extra $100 to get it expedited, and now we have to find somewhere else to take a better photo and send it in.

Exhausting. 3 times to wait in a 30-45 minutes queue while you get sent away even though you have an email saying it's at the PO. Finally got it on the 4th of September with writing on the front saying it was delivered 20th August. How it's so hard to pick up a parcel I don't know.

Worst service. 6 weeks with no mail plane to our community 600kms south of katherine. It contains medication which they refuse to give to someone who will pick it up on our behalf even when we spoke to someone who said that it was possible for someone else to collect. Lady at katherine Post Office is incredibly rude and lazy. Can't even get our mail from our dedicated community mail bag when we do get a rare chance to be in town just tells us we have to wait for it to come on the plane.
