Hello,

I recently visited the Algestar Post Office today (12 June 2025) at approximately 4:45 PM to return a parcel using the return label service.

While I understand everyone can have a busy day, I had a very unpleasant experience with one particular staff member — an older woman with an East Asian appearance.

I asked a simple question about taping the box, as I didn’t know I had to do it myself. She responded with a rude tone and repeated phrases like:

“It’s not my job,” and “Whose job is it?” in an unpleasant, impatient way.

Her tone made me feel very uncomfortable, especially as English is not my first language. I was trying to follow the correct return process, and I didn’t expect to be treated this way.

I believe customer service should be respectful and understanding, particularly when people are trying to do the right thing. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall experience at this location.

I had the most horrible costumer service experience I’ve ever experienced in a post office I don’t recommend this LPO at all, the two ladies there are the rudest. Not even one star is reservable

I was eagerly waiting for my package, which was important for a program. I was literally at home, right next to the door, expecting the delivery. No door knock, no sound, nothing! Yet, I suddenly got a notification saying, "No one was home." Taking your parcel to the post office."

This is a complete lie—they didn’t even try! Now, I have to waste my time and go to the post office, and their strict pickup hours don’t even suit me. If I paid for delivery, I expect it to be delivered—not dumped at a post office because the driver couldn’t be bothered!

It is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! Australia Post seriously needs to fix this lazy and misleading practice.

Horrible customer service, they don't care about you at all. Move your leg and find another post office. Could be the worst post office I've ever experienced. Plus their posting parcel pick up time cut off at 3PM

Overall had really great experiences everytime I went to the post office. The Asian staffs are all very friendly and helpful until I met this caucasian lady. Instead of telling the right procedure politely, she talked like she’s educating her child “dont look at her, I am talking to you”, Customer wasn’t even rude to her.
