Went in last Thursday to get passport papers sent off had new pics taken as the ones I had were horrible the staff were so friendly and helpful they just made it so easy for me ! And yes received my passport today thank you Kiama P.O great service

Thanks to the friendly team at kiama post. Grant and team always go out of their way to help. Today especially when my DHL parcel (that has been missing for 3 days and DHL couldn't even tell me where it incorrectly got delivered) got walked down the street by Grant all the way to my shop. Not even an Australia post issue but Grant got it back to me. Thank you for going out of your way Grant.

Built 1878. Italianate Style with the impressive 3 storey high Clock Tower. The bell rings on the quarter, half and three quarter hour with a full Hourly ringing of the Bells. Topped with an ornate copper lightening rod. The second floor was formerly the residence of the Postal Master and family. The Federal Government's FBT, (Fringe Benefits Tax) forced Australia Post to stop supplying "free" or accommodation as part of a Salary Package.

Corollary : Building Security was compromised. More over night break in thefts occurred. Which increased costs for repairs, insecurance etc..

However, it made great local news.

Location : Close to Kiama Harbour, ships, boats could read the time, set their chronographs, watches and various time pieces.

Land based locals could also set their chronographs.

Australia Post was and is and remains a outstanding Community Asset. Both in Kiama, Kingaroy, Katherine Katoomba and around Australia.

Kiama Post Office is the epitome of customer service! Always friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and automatically go over and above...Carly especially!! What's also proof of service that is rare? They remember the names of their regular customers and show a genuine care interest for all the people they serve!

Staff are amazing and very knowledgeable. I came in this morning with a screaming toddler needing to get a bunch of stuff done. I felt super overwhelmed and my son didn’t want to be there. The staff were so helpful, one even sat with him looking at the toy trucks to distract him whilst I sorted out everything. Absolute gems, thank you so much

Beautiful Building but it stops there. Majority i must say with the exception of one have no clue about Australia Post products and are a disgrace to its Brand... Staff lack of knowledge of products that I have dealt with at other outlets makes me pull my hair out then to be called practically a liar where I have done the same transaction at the very outlet a week before and at 2 other outlets hassel free makes me wonder how anything gets done at this branch! Before writing this post ive read other reviews and all they do is confirm my experience. Rude, unacceptable customer service from very incompetent staff made my experience very unpleasant.
Australia Post please review this branches practices via secret shopper experiences to avoid the embarrassing situations some.of the staff have caused that is totally unnecessary and uncalled for.

They are the most stuck up, arrogant, rude and obnoxious people I have ever come across in the Kiama community. Especially the owner with his hat on indoors. They refused to do my daughters passport application because they were incompetent and didn't know how to. They then admitted to not having processed many passports and said I need to go because my forms are incorrect however Shellharbour accepted and processed my application on the same day. Horrible people.

Horrible, Horrible , Horrible. I lose hundreds of dollars each year because these people in the Kiama trash my parcels, Absolute shame to live in the Kiama Municipality and have this office as our main office. Should close it down and get Shellharbour to deliver our parcels instead. Cheaper than writing off parcel after parcel. Why the taxpayer chooses to keep this office going is beyond imaginable.
