I was having trouble getting my parcel from a locker and a lady came out to 'help' me. As i was explaining to her that i had no problems using the service yesterday she talked over me, and continued to talk over me after i asked her to stop and let me finish. I find this is very bad manners as i was just discussing with her the events of the previous day and how today the parcel locker wanted me to do something different. I was being conversational, she was down right rude.

I do not recommend this post office.
I had an appointment with the (central) Nowra PO on 12/12 to lodge my passport. The woman there told me my photo was too dark and wouldn't accept my application. Given I was traveling through town this would seriously delay my application since I live in Melbourne & don't know anyone nearby to be guarantor. She and her colleagues insisted the Passport Agency would not accept it with this photo and she wouldn't even consider lodging it anyway and letting me deal with that possibility. She asked me if I had overseas travel plans and told me that no matter what I wouldn't have a passport before 15 January.
As I left dismayed 2 customers that overheard my conversation quietly recommended going to another post office. I went there without an appointment and they accepted my application without question. On Friday 16/12 I had an email from the Passport Agency telling me they were dispatching my completed passport and I would have it within the week. This was just 4 days after lodging! And according to the Passport Agency I will have my passport before Christmas. NOT mid January.

I had a problem with a postal order that was returned to me as an incorrect amount. I then went to three different post offices where I was told either I couldn't get a refund or they didn't have the form, or they didn't know what the procedure was, and then I went to this post office where the caring, professional staff solved the problem, got me a refund and had it paid into my bank account.

I wouldn't recommend going here to get your passports done. They sent my partner and I away with new forms after trying to lodge our passports as they said the forms were out of date! I rang the passport helpline and they said they haven't / don't expire. And they redone my partners photo as they said the one he had used wouldn't pass, even though they took that photo a couple days before! At least they didn't charge for the pictures. But thanks for stuffing us around!

Very helpful however took ages to find their store number thankfully someone on here suggested this number 44217341 , that is the local store number the 13 xx xx number that google keeps directing you too is the nation wide call centre, which are only dealing with medication and passport related calls at the moment .

I really rate the Nowra post office! The women in there great always helpful even if the line is out the door they. Get through people quickly and they are always nice.
