What a delightful little cafe. The ladies were so friendly and obliging. It was great to find a great cafe as most of the little towns we have passed through the cafes are all closed. PS- great music playing as well.

Took a step back in time, when the post was your connection to the rest of Australia and the world. When the posties bike looked like a cross between a push bike and motor bike.
As the older generation walk inside, the memories will come flooding back, with the individual writing booths, old phone and other items, that predate the computer age.
The menu is on black boards, with the sort of choices you expect in a country town.
The service is top class and the internal & external of the build is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
They say if you don’t use it you lose it, but what if you can reuse it, serving food and drinks that are of the same quality as the building, but as fresh and as tasty as you will get anywhere.
Well done to the owners, the staff and the town of Sandstone.
The meals arrive on time & to the correct address, the way the post used to be.
