One of the best and competently-staffed post offices I have been to. The post master is awesome and all over it, and our local delivery person is too. Really glad to have them as my local postie. If you go at peak times, you might have to wait for 5 or so mins, but that's to be expected.

The people moaning about queues being out the door should consider not coming at peak times. I’ve strolled in and have been served straight away plenty of times. Of course it’s going to be busy if you show up at lunchtime.

Also, it’s not the post office’s fault if your parcels are getting delivered straight there. It’s likely because the postie can’t leave his bike to get to your door. Yeah it’s annoying but it’s a first world problem you’re just going to have to deal with.

Bishesh and the team at Summer Hill Post Office are absolutely delightful. The service is excellent, nothing is ever a problem and they really know their stuff.
Overtime, you learn from watching that that they are delivering a myriad of different services, and they do it with ease, a warm smile and hello every day.

I'm not sure what everyone else here is talking about. I've been to this post office about ten times now and on only one occasion was I queuing for more than 10 minutes. Usually, I receive service as soon as I arrive or after waiting a few minutes. It's actually the fastest post office I have ever been to - including inner west, Northern suburbs and Western Sydney. Service is standard and friendly enough.

Regularly wait 30 minutes at this place for the guy at the front to read forms at a glacial, painful pace. That's without a queue. Now in line for 30 minutes with one person in front of me. Only one person can do renewal applications apparently. They often take ages to find packages (don't they have some kind of organisational system back there?!) and I leave feeling annoyed every single time. Avoid at all costs.
