After dealing with another law firm for a year and a half and not getting anywhere with a financial settlement with my ex I was recommended Australian Family Lawyers and spoke to Jasmine Trewin about my case. She believed that I had a good case and that I could be awarded more then what my ex was offering me after 16 years of marriage. He had taken so much from me that I felt helpless. Ms Trewin helped me with the procedures and got me a bigger settlement then I had originally wanted but one that was more equitable. Thank you for being there for me and getting me a settlement that I can now move on with my life after nearly 3 years of going back and forth with lawyers. Not sure why but when I told the lawyer my concerns and areas I need her help, her first response was “Sucks to be you”. I did not find that funny nor professional. I wouldn’t pay hourly rate to be made fun of. At the end she was basically not interested in proceeding further and told me to follow the other applicants lawyer’s instructions and wait for the outcome hoping to be in my favour. Waste of my money really. Now I still have to find another lawyer.
