It’s a beautiful beach with plenty of parking spaces, though finding a spot can be challenging when it’s busy. The beach is is quite good, and there is also a lifeguard on duty, actively monitoring both the beach and the people.

Great spot. Not just a good beach with decent surf breaks but also a good kiosk, pavilions, hot showers, skate park, heaps of parking... good one newcastle!

A pleasant beach close to Newcastle city. It can get pretty crowded on a hot Summer day. Parking along the street next to the beach is for free, but hard to find a spot if it’s one of those busy days.

A very nice beach located near the city. Can get awfully crowded on a hot summers day. Bluebottles will tend to affect this beach during summer under a fresh northeasterly wind or a strong southerly wind.

Watch for Rips. Waves tend to break on the reef and sandbank out the back but then develop into swell and sometimes reach the shoreline as a strong shore break so watch out if you have young kids at high tide and in moderate swells.

But overall a very nice beach one of my favourites and great for everyone
