My advice would be - don't go near this firm if you have a Family Court matter that involves domestic violence. In my opinion they have no idea what they are doing.
I found them to be a patriarchal, stuffed shirt of a company with very poor communication skills and no empathy. They seriously underestimated my ex-partner despite what I kept telling them. There was nothing redeeming about them and I regret staying with them but having never been through court before I knew no better.
This is not my real name but I was a real client for three years.
I ended up in court and I lost (or they lost for me - after all the win goes to the people with the best legal team and I didn't have it).

I cannot write a review on the company however I wonder why they have associates or partners as one lawyer who was the chairperson of the Body Corp I belong since 17 years. In the past we were honest owners in the committee. I was in the committee for over 10 years till he took over. This lawyer is dishonest, corrupt and he surrounded himself with the worst human beings. He "forced" (by convincing his group) the engagemet of dishonest managers as well as horrible Body Corp lawyers. He moved out from the Body Corp in August 2019 leaving behind only destruccion: i.e. of the common assets, damage to my property, high expenses and the list is long.... At present the Deparment of Justice is aware of the present corruption that started by him working against QLD legislation. His name is D. McCormack. I have copied to him and to the Department of Justice what his friend Grace Lawyers sent me: Debt recovery against Goverment Covid Emergency rules 2021. The corruption this man installed in our Body Corp is beyond belief. He was copied several correspondence that were submitted to QLD government. I have requested them an investigation. Now in September 2023 there is a QCAT submission and a claim at the Magistrate Court. McCormack has brought here his accomplices Rubicon and Grace Lawyers who has been stealing money from the Body Corp and be involved in legal matters without the approval of the Body Corp. Part of the matter is with the Attorney, clearly mentioning McCormack as the Mastermind. The Media and Police will follow to investigate the people Grace Lawyer and Rubicon has been stealing for that are not related to our body corp. McCormarck from Barry Nilsson is a piece of ... A young family is destroyed due to their actions against legislaton. They lost almost everything. They have 3 little children. They are in a delicate situation.

In my experience, this law firm overcharges wildly and puts their own bottom line before the welfare of their clients. I lost $185,000 simply because they were too arrogant to fully explain my options and sloppy in communicating. Not recommended if you value good, careful service.
