5 STARS! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
From the lovely, friendly, and helpful ladies at the front desk to the efficient planning department and the fantastic local rangers— everyone at the Bassendean Council has been incredible to deal with.
As a long-term resident of Bassendean, I can’t recommend the council highly enough. Their professionalism, warmth, and commitment to the community are second to none.

they refuse to hold their number one rate payer( homeswest) accountable. Imagine if this was the front of your house and how quick you would get a notice from the council to clean it up. See pics in latest photo. Well this has been going on for 2 years of rotting refuse. Special mention for Belinda who has totally mismanaged the waste her and has been discriminating against people with mental health. We can't recycle either . Whatever happened to Act, Belong, Commit. !!

I've lived in Bassendean for the past few years and I'm very happy with the services provided by the town. From the ease and friendliness when going in to the collect tip passes or replace dog registration collar. Even the ease with reporting a damaged section of footpath to be repaired. The garbage truck driver waves with each pass and the friendly rangers that are always happy to provide assistance when needed. Keep up the good work team.

Bassendean Town Council sold me and my family a block of land to build a family home on which was not declared 'not fit for purpose' as it was a contaminated rubbish tip, prior to auction. Legal action had to be taken. In my opinion this council is incompetent, dishonest, non transparent, and will not take responsibility for poor decision making by way of an apology.

We just bought a commercial property on Broadway in Bassendean, and we find out the local council is so helpful in all means. Usually they reply email within 1 day! Not like Bayswater City Council (where we own properties as well), emails get answered within 1 WEEK! Everyone there is so patient and polite and willing to help you to get things done. We are very lucky to come across the council like this and we are also grateful and hopeful for our development future in Bassendean. Well done and thanks again.

Thankyou for cleaning up the broken windscreen glass. It was in the gutter on Railway Parade of Ashfield Station and Bassendean City Council did a wonderful job of responding to an online request to remove it. Similarly, the council took away a large branch obstructing the footpath near the Railway Museum, Christmas gone. I and many other pedestrians are grateful for Bassendean Councils hard work in making our roadways and footpaths clean and safe. Much appreciated 😊

Compared to the other suburbs we have lived in, which are few, they are less passionate about their job. Services are not that great. From Fogo bins, tip passes to registering your animal and customer service.

this is the worse website ever. there is no information as to who is responsible for what in this shire. they happily give you the private phone numbers of the councillors but none of the officers or their names. what a disgrace. plus if you ring for any of the actual shire officers you will be directed to a personal assistant of each. pathetic!! i am upset i had to give this even one star. zero was not an option.
