Agree with the negative comments on this page. .The positive comments suggest that BandB relate well to high profile people. Over several encounters with Beaumonts was treated with gross discourtesy and refusal to respond to emails. On third attempt regarding one job inquiry, rang and virtually demanded to speak to Gillian before the nquiry was acknowledged. My experiences have been echoed by others.

I have had experience with a few recruitment agency and Gillian was very nice to work with. When it comes to job hunting, it is nice to have recruitment agency for the simplicity of process (my understanding), but eventually it's about whether your profile meets the recruiter's requirements. I wasn't expecting any sort of magic or miracle.

I would recommend Gillian, because she was quite responsive albeit being really busy, and she was not one of those agents who push you to opportunities that aren't really what you are looking for. I think that's what a good agent should be like, even though technically they get paid by employers.

I have applied various times as someone in a junior legal capacity through this agency, each and every time I have not even heard back, which quite frankly is completely unprofessional.

I would not recommend Gillian Beaumont to anyone, because if you have suitable experience, you can find a job with no problem, so going through them just allows them to skim money off your contract. Whereas if you are in a junior capacity, they don't even have the decency to acknowledge your application.

A poor excuse for an organisation, it could safely be assumed that they only exist as there is no competition in the marketplace for them.

ABSOLUTELY USELESS

One of the bottom 5 recruitment agencies in Australia, along with Hays. Anyone can find an experienced lawyer a job but what if you're just starting out? What if you have government policy experience but recently gained court admission?

Gillian Beaumont talk the talk but are absolutely useless in finding you employment. If I had 5 years experience as a lawyer, I could get a job myself, I wouldn't need a recruitment agency. The key to a good recruitment agency is if they can find lawyers with little experience a contract job.

They are another one of those agency who rely on massive advertising and catchy slogans to entice potential candidates seeking employment. However, when you strip them down and look at actually what they offer you, they do nothing. Just get experienced lawyers employment, whilst adding to their deep pockets.

I hope they shut down and people really see that they are useless. Do not use this agency if you are just starting out as a lawyer, they will not help you but rather fill you with rage.

Was told by a current employee for a Government department to call Beaumont & Beaumont when I submit my CV to strengthen my application. So I did so, and the consultant that I spoke to was rude. Scoffed at me and they never even sent me a "thanks, but no thanks" email. Completely unprofessional behavior.

They contacted me after downloading my CV from Seek about a role with a Govt. Agency. After attending an interview with their staff and being found suitable for a role, I was invited back for a meet and greet with the supervisor and team leader for the section with the vacancy. They also found me suitable and I was forwarded all the usual commencement documentation, with the instruction to complete asap as they want all new staff to commence by a certain date as training was already scheduled. Because of this, I turned down an interview for another role which I had applied for and didn't make an effort in another interview which had been scheduled prior to meeting with Beaumont as I had started the onboarding process for the role Beaumont offered me. After filling in all the paperwork, e.g. bank account details, tax file number etc completed the paperwork for my police check (which BTW wasn't the issue, I hold a security clearance and a clean police record) then out of the blue I was told that the funding hadn't been approved for the role to go forward. Whether or not this is true, I don't know, however suddenly no one would either answer or return my calls or emails, they were decidedly disinterested and abrupt if my call did get answered. Then THEY contacted ME some weeks later about a new role and would I be interested, I said yes as I'd missed out on the other 2 roles that I quite possibly may have been offered, then they called me back a few days later and said they decided not to short list me...I didn't apply for the role, they came after me! Both experiences were not handled in a professional manner at all. I've just landed my dream job through another very professional and switched on agency. Should I ever be looking for another role, I'll avoid Beaumont and Beaumont, you should too...try DFP or Peoplebank, both of whom are professional, caring and thorough.

Gillian and Jonathan have a professional organisation that I have dealt with for over 10 years. Wonderful people, just a great attitude to business that you don't come across often enough. Would recommend them without hesitation.

I worked with this organisation for one year. I had a terrible experience, but won't name and shame the particular Consultant. They do not have your back as their employee, you are a transaction and a number to them.
