We've recently purchased our first home and Mr Rajat was our solicitor. He has been very helpful, polite, passionate, punctual throughout the process. Before settling for this home, we were interested in few other properties and he helped us going through the section 32 if there's anything we should be looking out for. Finally we settled for this beautiful off the plan property. Contract was signed last year during Christmas and since then in last 10 months until finally settlement last week Rajat has been guiding, helping, explaining us all through the process diligently and patiently. I can't recommend him enough writing this review, but this is the least I could do for his superb professional service!

My husband and I just purchased a house and hired Bengal Solicitors for legal services. We are very disappointed with the service provided. Bengal Solicitors lacks attention to detail and customer service skills. Incorrect information was stated on legal documentation. For example, they got our names wrong and filled out the State Revenue Office documents incorrectly which could have had implications on our First Home Owners Grant. Bengal Solicitors is unapproachable and communicates poorly. They barely responds to calls/emails and have hung up mid-conversation many times. We missed out on vital information during the settlement process. Action was not taken promptly and progress updates were not provided. Services that we had been charged for were not explained to us at all. We do not recommend Bengal Solicitors.

Not recommended. I bought a small off the plan house and the developer was trying to pass a land tax of $5000 on me whereas I hadn't yet owned the land/house. I asked Mr Rajat how the land tax is being calculated and he got annoyed and said to talk to the SRO. After talking to the SRO, I pointed out that I am not responsible to pay the land tax while I haven't owned the land yet. Finally he sent an email to the other party's lawyer and the $5000 land tax was removed. This is such a stressful situation for me. I got the information about the amount just a few days before the settlement date and it was a large amount of money. Instead of explaining my point to the other party he was arguing with me and saying "This is just one off cost" so pay it.
